Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 33 weeks since beginning this years mission. So far we've enjoyed the
privilege of sharing the gospel in song with 118 Nursing Homes and 24 Churches. To God Be
The Glory!

Monday August 17 th ~
Said my goodbye's to this lovely family here in Newport. By the way, Robin is the Dear
Sister in Christ who has provided the cell phone for our ministry for some two years now.
May God Bless Her!
Published from the library in town. Then started down the coast stopping in Yachats,
Oregon where I was able to minister at the "Sea Aire" assisted living facility (ALF).
Then on to Florence, Oregon to the "Church on the Rock" where I've been allowed to park
overnight in previous years. Joined a small group bible study in the evening. Got to sing a
couple of songs for them.

Tuesday August 18 th ~
A couple from the church treated me to breakfast after a morning prayer meeting. Then in
the afternoon I was able to minister at the "Spruce Point" ALF. First in the
Alzheimer's Unit, then over in the main activity room for a rather large group.
Before I left, the activity director let me know that she'd been told by some residents that
the music had touched some hearts. Praise God!

Wednesday August 19 th ~
Sang at the "Regency Florence" nursing home. Enjoyed an early dinner at the home of a
couple (Del & Denise) from the church here. Then attended mid-week services.

Thursday August 20 th ~
Drove to Reedsport, Oregon and hooked up with folks at the "Foursquare Church". The
pastor (Terry) gave me a key to the building, showed me a room with a TV and reclining
rocker, and invited me to sing a Special Sunday.
You can imagine how this lifted my spirit. Especially considering the physical trial I'm going
through at the moment.
Spent part of the day relaxing, then attended a singing service at the Methodist church
down the street where I enjoyed the Honor of leading the group in several songs.

Friday August 21 st ~
Laundry Day! Also, some ladies from last night's singing had invited me over for dinner
tonight. A sweet time of feasting, singing, fellowship.

Saturday August 22 nd ~
Helped set up for the Family Festival. An outreach ministry whereby the church coordinates
the giveaway of backpacks filled with school supplies for the kids in town.
Everything is free: free haircuts given by locale barbers, a booth where a locale pastor does
bicycle repair, snow cones, popcorn, hotdogs, a roped in nursery play area, a monstruos
inflatable castle, fishing pond (stuffed animals), basketball hoops for prizes, face painting
booth, and of course, a prayer tent.

Sunday August 23 rd ~
During the worship service here at the "Foursquare Church" I was given the Honor of
contributing a Special. Then joined the pastors family for lunch and some fellowship at their
home.

And So Begins Another Week.

May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!

Yours In Christ, Larry
