Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 32 weeks since beginning this years mission. So far we've enjoyed the
privilege of sharing the gospel in song with 115 Nursing Homes and 21 Churches. To God
Be The Glory!
Monday August 10 th ~
Published the update from the "United Methodist Church" here in Tillamook, Oregon. A
very warm, hospitable group of Believers. May God Bless Them!
Headed south down the coast to Newport, Oregon to the home of Brother Dave and
Sister Robin's.
Tuesday August 11 th ~
Sang at the "Bayside" assisted living facility in South Beach.
Wednesday August 12 th ~
Showed up at Sister Robin's "Meals-on-Wheels" in Toledo, Oregon where I was promptly
put to work washing dishes.
Thursday August 13 th ~
Van speedometer acted up again. Crawled under the transmission fiddling with the wiring
connection to the sensor hoping for an easy fix.
Friday August 14 th ~
Sang at the "Oceanview" ALF during lunch here in Newport. Enjoyed the company of
three ladies at their table. Staff had offered to treat me to the meal and these three ladies
had sang along with most of the songs.
Finished the antibiotics.
Saturday August 15 th ~
A walk on the beach. Time in the library. Practiced a couple of new songs.
Sunday August 16 th ~
Attended the Assembly of God church here in Newport. A young couple (missionaries to
China) gave a presentation. Followed by a Fish Fry.
And So Begins Another Week.
May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!
Yours In Christ, Larry
It was very foggy. They say the pilot fell asleep at the wheel. My question is: Is there a song in there somewhere?
