Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 31 weeks since beginning this years mission. So far we've enjoyed the
privilege of sharing the gospel in song with 113 Nursing Homes and 21 Churches. To God
Be The Glory!
Monday August 3 rd ~
Published the update from the "Foursquare Church" here in Lincoln City, Oregon.
Enjoyed a delicious lunch fellowship with the Pastor (Darrell). Then over to the "Rehab
Center" next to the hospital for a sweet time of sharing the gospel in song.
Tuesday August 4 th ~
Drove to Tillamook, Oregon and sang at the "Five Rivers" ALF before lunch. Started with
three residents and ended with fifty.
Joined a group at the United Methodist Church for a silent meditative prayer service.
Wednesday August 5 th ~
Praise Report: The secretary here at the church, knowing of my tooth problem, arranged
a dental appointment with her dentist. Offering to take care of the bill.
The dentist advised me that I am looking at a root-canal with crown when and if I can
arrange it. He prescribed some antibiotic to give me more time and relieve the infection,
nausea, ect. To top it all off he told his staff not to charge for this visit.
May God Bless Them All!
Went on to minister at the "Kilchis House" assisted living facility this afternoon here in
Tillamook.
Thursday August 6 th ~
Sang at the "Nehalem Valley Care Center" in Wheeler, Oregon.
Friday August 7 th ~
While singing yesterday, at one point I asked for any request. Immediately a lady
wheeling herself out of the room said "I'll Be Back". I jokingly replied "I don't know that
one". Then I felt bad for making a joke at her expense. So I said "I suppose we could
make one up". Then I proceeded to sing that line to a few chords for the next minute or
so.
Well this morning the Lord gave me a whole song around that line. And as I finished a
rough draft, an elder (John) of the church here in Tillamook knocked on the van offering
to open up the church building for my use. Praise God! Spent the day working on that
song and the laptop.
Saturday August 8 th ~
Another day of working on music in 'The Wesley Room" of the church building.
Recorded a few tracks for the new song. The featured mp3 "I'll Be Back" for this weeks
newsletter.
Sunday August 9 th ~
Enjoyed the Honor of contributing some songs during the worship services this morning.
Pastor put out a basket and folks put together a sweet gift for our ministry. May God
Bless Them!
Attended an evening Pot-Luck-Dinner here, followed by a concert with eleven team
members in a Hand Bell Choir from Minnesota. Awesome what can be accomplished when
folks work together.
And So Begins Another Week.
May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!
Yours In Christ, Larry
