Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 25 weeks since beginning this years mission. So far we've enjoyed the
privilege of sharing the gospel in song with 97 Nursing Homes and 17 Churches. To God
Be The Glory!
Monday June 22 nd ~
Published from the library here in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Then out to the "Twin Rivers
Canyon Campground". A dear brother in Christ (Travis) has a large tent trailer he sets up
every year for a month. His family uses it periodically on weekends. He has offered me
the use of it for a few days as a sort of Sabbatical. May God Bless Him!
Tuesday June 23 rd ~
Beautiful Day! Sweet time of relaxation. Contemplation. Prayer.
Wednesday June 24 th ~
One last day out at the park. Towards evening, the men's group from church met out
here for their weekly get together. I enjoyed the opportunity to contribute some songs.
And listen to a Brother from Africa (Edward) speak about the lifestyle of Christians there
compared to here.
Thursday June 25 th ~
Back on the road headed south. Stopped in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and ministered at the
"Ivy Court" nursing home.
Received word from Pam in Minnesota that Cullen is in the hospital. Please Pray.
Friday June 26 th ~
In Lewiston, Idaho I sang at the "Royal Plaza Care Center". Then crossed the southeast
corner of Washington State to Walla Walla where I was able to minister at the "Regency
at the Park".
Saturday June 27 th ~
Crossed another border, to Pendleton, Oregon and sang at the "Willowbrook Terrace"
nursing home. Before starting, I overheard a volunteer in obvious anger, yell at a resident
as he was wheeling her out the door. After finding out from the charge nurse that this is a
continuing occurrence with him, I got him off in a corner, got in his face, and told him not
to do that again.
Don't know if it helped. Not real sure I should 'a done it. It just upset me so.
At any rate, didn't see him again while I was there. And we enjoyed a wonderful time
singing praises to the Lord.
Sunday June 28 th ~
Attended services at the Salvation Army. Joined them for a hot dog lunch afterwards.
Then drove on to Redmond, Oregon.
And So Begins Another Week.
May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!
Yours In Christ, Larry
