Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 24 weeks since beginning this years mission. So far we've enjoyed the
privilege of sharing the gospel in song with 79 Nursing Homes and 20 Churches. To God
Be The Glory!

After publishing the UPDATE, I spent most of the day removing the bed, curtains &
stuff from the old van in preparation for moving into the new van.
The Story
Some time ago, a "Dear Sweet Couple" (wishing to remain anonymous) let me know
that they'd like to help provide a vehicle for the ministry, at some point. They did this by
giving me an empty envelope with their phone number and a "Certain Dollar Figure"
written on it.
Last week at a Bible Study/Fellowship Meal in Bonners Ferry, Idaho in the home of
Travis & Beth, I met Gene. A semi retired pastor (in his mid 70's) from Alaska. He and I
played and sang some for the group. When he was ready to leave I carried his guitar out
to his van with him. Turns out he had a For Sale sign on the van with the same "Certain
Dollar Figure" as previously mentioned.
His situation is this. His wife recently passed on. Which left his household social
security support cut in half. He needed to get out from under the large monthly payment
on this relatively new (2005) van which he has kept in top shape.
I contacted the "Dear Sweet Couple" previously mentioned. We eventually determined
to give him his full asking price, which left him with over a thousand dollars after paying
off the loan. And in addition, we gave him my van.
The funds arrived in his bank account promptly this afternoon. So this evening we
made the switch. God works in mysterious ways, His wonders to behold!
Tuesday June 15 th ~
Began the process of converting the new van into an
itsy-bitsy-tene-wene-mini-motor-home.
At the evening meal Travis prepared a traditional Pilipino dish (Pansit) for Gene and I,
celebrating with the whole family what the Lord has done for both of us in these van
situations.
Wednesday June 16 th ~
Sent off the "Praise Report" email.
Travis, Beth, Sarah, Daniel, Noah & Chip headed to Seattle on a five day road trip to
visit family, leaving me the run of the house.
Thursday June 17 th ~
More rigging on the van. Got invited to sing at the monthly community dinner held at
the AG church. Asked Gene to sing harmony with me. I thought we sounded pretty good.
Friday June 18 th ~
Ministered at "The Restorium" assisted living facility here in Bonners Ferry.
Did an oil change and continued the conversion process on the van.
Saturday June 19 th ~
Finished rigging the van.
Sunday June 20 th ~
Got sick last night. Sever nausea, chills, fever and some of the more unpleasant
things which accompany this particular illness. So I spent the day in bed taking aspirin
and plenty of water and Praise God, it eased up along about mid afternoon. Even felt like
sitting out on the deck for a little bit.
And So Begins Another Week.
May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!
Yours In Christ, Larry
