Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 23 weeks since beginning this years mission. So far we've enjoyed the
privilege of sharing the gospel in song with 88 Nursing Homes and 17 Churches. To
God Be The Glory!
Monday June 8 th ~
Ministered in the nursing home section of the hospital here in Glendive, Montana.
While I was singing "The Old Rugged Cross" a passing staff member (Shirley) started
going around to the residents encouraging them to raise their arms swaying to the
music. There was something very Special about that moment.
Got over to the library to publish the update, them drove to Miles City to a Wal-Mart
for the night.
Tuesday June 9 th ~
Sang in the extended care section of the hospital here in Miles City for about fifteen
residents. Then drove to Billings, Montana.
Wednesday June 10 th ~
Stopped in Columbus, Montana and sang at their Community Hospital. They have both
assisted living and full nursing home care attached. Seems small town hospitals have
found a way to remain open in this state by incorporating extended care.
Just around the corner I was able to get a shower at a public swimming pool about to
open for the season. Unfortunately the hot water was not yet working. Burr!!!
Thursday June 11 th ~
Continuing west I was able to minister at the "Parkhaven" ALF in Manhattan, Montana.
This very enthusiastic staff encouraged me all along the way. Evidently while I was
singing the activity director had gathered a contribution from staff members. And I
found out later that behind my back a resident donated a dollar to the ministry.
May God Bless These Dear Folks!
Friday June 12 th ~
Drove to Thompson Falls, Montana and hooked up with friends at the "Gospel Mt.
Assembly of God" church. Turns out they have a visiting native american evangelist
(Maynard LaVallie) starting a Revival tonight.
Saturday June 13 th ~
Joined a group of men for an early morning prayer breakfast.
Changed the oil in the van (204,000 miles).
Attended the evening revival service.
Sunday June 14 th ~
Attended morning worship services here in Thompson Falls. Then joined Maynard, the
pastor and his wife for lunch. Ended the day with a four hour (6 to 10) service.
The Lord showed me some things this weekend that I hope will help me grow and
mature.
And So Begins Another Week.
May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!
Yours In Christ, Larry
