Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 13 weeks since beginning this years mission. So far we've enjoyed the
privilege of sharing the gospel in song with 44 Nursing Homes and 10 Churches. To God
Be The Glory!
Monday March 29 th ~
Published the update from the library in Cadiz, Kentucky. Then drove to Paducah,
Kentucky.
Tuesday March 30 th ~
Crossed into Missouri to Sikeston.
Taking aspirin and cough drops in an effort to ease the laryngitis.
Wednesday March 31 st ~
Stumbled onto the Big Springs State Park in the Mark Twain National Forest just four
miles off the highway outside of Van Buren, Missouri. Turns out they are allowing free
camping until April 15 th. Seeing's how I can't sing, figured I'd spend a few days here.
Thursday April 1 st ~
Drove into town for some supplies. Stopped at "New Life Evangelistic Center" thrift
store seeking a shower. Not only did these guy's provide one, they also have a Christian
Radio Station set up in a room in the building. And ended up doing an interview about our
ministry. Another First Experience. Praise God!
Friday April 2 nd ~
A beautiful day here at Big Springs. Got in some hiking. Pulled out the guitar and tried
a few songs. Feels like the vocal chords are on the mend.
Saturday April 3 rd ~
Rained hard last night. Clear and pretty this morning. Got in a long walk. Then as I
was leaving the park, turned on the radio and low and behold the interview we'd recorded
was just starting. Stopped at the radio station on the way out of town and thanked the
guy's. Then drove west to Mansfield, Missouri.
Sunday April 4 th ~
Attended Easter sunrise service at the First Baptist church here in Mansfield. Then
out to the church in MaComb in time for their regular service where I was given the Honor
of contributing a Special.
The vocal chords seem to be OK. It was a bit of a struggle, like muscles which haven't
been used in a while. Should be able to get back to the nursing homes now.
And So Begins Another Week.
