Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 14 weeks since beginning this years mission. So far we've enjoyed the
privilege of sharing the gospel in song with 49 Nursing Homes and 10 Churches. To God
Be The Glory!
Monday April 5 th ~
Published from the library in Mansfield, Missouri.
Laundry Day. Oil change time.
Then back to the church in MaComb where I was able to set up the recording
equipment in one of the rooms.
Tuesday April 6 th ~
Drove over to Ava, Missouri and sang at the "Ava Place". Then back to MaComb for
more recording work.
Wednesday April 7 th ~
Packed up. Showered up. And headed north.
Stopped in Tipton, Missouri and sang at the "Tipton Oak Manor". I received some
sweet encouragement when out in the parking lot as I was leaving, a visitor came up and
thanked me for what I do and proceeded to tell me "There's a man in there who last week
was being cantankerous. But today I saw him singing along with tears running down his
cheeks."
Well needless to say that lifted my spirits. I don't often see these things so I thanked
her for sharing that with me.
Thursday April 8 th ~
In Fayette, Missouri I ministered at the "Fayette Care Center". Enjoyed a private lunch
in the activity room with Jeff, a resident my age suffering with MS. He called me the
Gospelizer.
Friday April 9 th ~
Crossed the border into Iowa and sang at the "Bloomfield Care Center". Then on to
Ottumwa, Iowa to Christ's Church where the Pastor (Dan) offered a place to park on
church grounds while in the area. Then treated me to dinner. M.G.B.H!
Saturday April 10 th ~
Found the "Sylvan Woods" ALF in town where I was able to sing for a group in their
dinning room. Then ministered for another group over in their Alzheimer's Unit.
A walk in the park.
Shower at the YMCA.
Dinner at the Pastor's house.
Sunday April 11 th ~
Attended worship services at "Christ's Church" where CMA (Christian Motorcycle
Association) was scheduled to give a presentation. Enjoyed a Pot Luck Dinner
afterwards. Then in the evening, joined a Home Group at Greg's (one of the church
leaders) house.
And So Begins Another Week.
May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!
Yours In Christ, Larry
