Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 9 weeks since beginning this years mission. So far we've enjoyed the
privilege of sharing the gospel in song with 33 Nursing Homes and 6 Churches. To God
Be The Glory!
Monday March 1 st ~
Some dear folks (Carlson & Patsy) provided the use of their motohome for the past week,
for me to stay in and do some recording work while in the area. May God Bless Them!
Published the update from their place, then drove to Waynesboro, Mississippi and sang
at the "Southern Living" assisted living facility.
Tuesday March 2 nd ~
Crossed the border into Alabama and stopped in Coffeeville. Was directed to the Senior
Citizens Center where I was able to sing before lunch. They invited me to share their
noon meal. Enjoyed a nice visit with the folks.
Continued east to Brewton. The dear pastor of the "Dogwood Hills Assembly of God"
church provided a place to park and plug-in on this cold night. M.G.B.H!
Wednesday March 3 rd ~
Ministered at the "West Gate Village" here in Brewton, Alabama. A rather large/older
facility. The staff were great about gathering folks together. Filled the room. We had a
wonderful time, with residents singing along, moving to the beat, Praising God.
Later I attended the fellowship dinner at "Dogwood", then enjoyed the Honor of
contributing a couple of songs during the following service.
Thursday March 4 th ~
Enjoyed a wonderful breakfast with the pastor (Tommy) of the "Dogwood" church here in
Brewton. They've been so hospitable every time I've been through here. Even sent me off
with a Love Offering for the ministry. M.G.B.T!
Continuing east, I dipped down into the Florida panhandle and sang at the "Hill View" ALF
in Graceville. Then on to a free county campground on the Chattahoochee River for the
night.
Friday March 5 th ~
Crossed into Georgia and sang at the "Pinewood Nursing Center" in Whigham. Then on
to Quitman, Georgia where I was able to park overnight at the "Refuge of Hope". A prison
ministry located on 45 acres just outside of town.
Attended their monthly graduation service that was being held this night for three guy's
fixing to go back out into the free world, having completed the 9 month program. A rather
unique ministry whereby Believer's coming out of prison chose this Christian based,
regimented program to ease back into society. Instead of more traditional probation.
They are mentored, housed, fed, helped with jobs. Taught social skills.
Statistically, this program has the best record in the state of Georgia for inmate's Not
returning to prison. Praise God!
Saturday March 6 th ~
Attended an early morning interdenominational bible study held at the nursing home in
town. One of the pastor's (Jay) offered/provided two nights stay at the local motel for our
ministry. M.G.B.H!
Sunday March 7 th ~
Attended worship services at the "United Methodist Church" where I enjoyed the Honor
of contributing a Special.
And So Begins Another Week.
May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!
Yours In Christ, Larry
