Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 12 weeks since beginning this years mission. So far we've enjoyed the
privilege of sharing the gospel in song with 44 Nursing Homes and 9 Churches. To God
Be The Glory!
Monday March 22 nd ~
Here In Gilbert, West Virginia a couple of ladies at City Hall allowed me access to the
internet so I could publish the update. M.G.B.T!
Spent the afternoon back at the Parsonage of the "Promise Christian Fellowship"
church editing music on the laptop.
Tuesday March 23 rd ~
The residential care facility I used to minister in while here, is closing down. Therefore
I took some R & R at the Parsonage, then in the afternoon a group showed up at the
church to rehearse their easter play, so I was able to get in a little fellowship.
Wednesday March 24 th ~
Back on the road, turned west into Kentucky. Stopped in Hindman and sang at the
"Knott County Nursing Home" for about 18 residents. I was told they don't get much of
this. They even cancelled Bingo for me, which is unusual.
Thursday March 25 th ~
Continued west to Hyden, Kentucky and ministered at the "Hyden Nursing Home".
Friday March 26 th ~
Just north of my path today, there was a horrendous accident involving a semi and a
church van. Eleven died, including the truck driver.
Continued west to Hopkinsville, Kentucky and ministered at the "Morningside" ALF. It
was very uplifting. The staff got involved. Residents sang along. These dear folks
Embraced the Gospel. May God Bless Them!

Yesterday's session was very sweet. Today's was rather dark. "Trigg County Manor"
has some elderly, also many of other ages with cognitive disabilities. During the first
song, I had to stop and ask three young staff members to tone it down a little. They were
talking louder than I was singing. To their credit they quieted down once they realized
what they were doing.
Now several folks were enjoying the time. Singing along, clapping. Others were
indifferent. At one point when I asked if anyone had a request, a man in the back said "Go
Home!" Well the Spirit moved me to respond by saying "Bless You". And again I said
"May God Bless You!"
Then it got real quiet. Folks seemed to pay more attention. The man didn't say
anything again. In fact, he and some others disappeared when I went around afterwards
shaking hands.
As most of you know, I tend to write about and focus on positive things. However, I
decided to share this, to let you know it's not all fun and games. There is a Spiritual battle
going on out there.
Sunday March 28 th ~
Last night some kind of Bug showed up in my throat, moving into my chest by this
evening. During morning services here at "The Meeting Place Full Gospel Church", I was
given the Honor of contributing a couple of songs. It was a struggle to make the vocal
chords work, which they did. However, during evening services, I spoke a little then tried
a song. Had to end there. The voice almost gone. Sounding like an adolescent when his
voice changes. Squeaking low and high with little control.
Please pray for fast healing.
And So Begins Another Week.
May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!
Yours In Christ, Larry
