"West Wind Court" Bandon, Oregon
Bandon By The Sea
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 34 weeks since beginning this years mission. So far we've
enjoyed the privilege of sharing the gospel in song with 123 Nursing Homes and
29 Churches. To God Be The Glory!
Monday August 18 th ~
While helping put away tables last night after the pot-luck dinner here at the
Foursquare Church, I strained my right forearm. It's been rather painful today.
Terry (the pastor) anointed it with oil and prayed.
With that going on I decided to spend the day at the church building to publish
the update. Then edited and copyrighted my first song through the online service
with the Library of Congress in Washington, DC.
Tuesday August 19 th ~
Arm pain woke me in the middle of the night. However, by morning I felt the
healing process had turned the corner, so to speak. Still I'm giving it another
days rest from strumm'in the guitar.
Worked in the church building doing vocal recordings on the laptop.
Wednesday August 20 th ~
Headed down the coast and ministered in the "Life Care Center of Coos Bay".
They were having a Carnival type family day with clowns and hot dogs and such.
So before lunch time the activity director (Robin) took me around to a number of
rooms with folks who couldn't come out.
As we were leaving one of these rooms where I sang "When The Saints Go
Marching In", Robin quietly said to me "That was a miracle! That lady has been
here three months. She's been depressed and has given up hope. That's the first
time I've seen her Joyful". Praise God!
Thursday August 21 st ~
Got a shower at the Nazarene church, then ministered at the "Hearthside
Rehabilitation Care" facility here in Coos Bay. Drove to Coquille, Oregon and
sang for a small group at the "Oerding Manor". Then attended mid-week services
at the "Pentecostal Victory Tabernacle" where I enjoyed the Honor of contributing
a couple of songs.
Friday August 22 nd ~
Drove ten miles to Myrtle Point and ministered at the "Myrtle Point Care Center"
during lunch. Then back to Coquille for a shower at the public swimming pool.
Another twenty miles towards the coast took me to Bandon on the Sea where I
was able to share the gospel in song with the folks at the "West Wind Court".
Saturday August 23 rd ~
Ministered at the "Heritage Place Assisted Living Community".
Sunday August 24 th ~
Attended worship services at the "Restoration Worship Center" here in Bandon.
Enjoyed some fellowship at their pot-luck lunch. Then ministered at the "Heritage
Place Wellness Center" for a rather large group of Alzheimer's patients. It was an
awesome time with lots of singing along and solemn reactions.
Back at the church for evening services I enjoyed the Honor of contributing some
songs. Then the pastors (Dan & Mary) had me follow them home for a place to
park, use of the bath and laundry facilities. They even topped off my gas tank on
the way. May God Bless Them!

And So Begins Another Week.

May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!

Yours In Christ, Larry
