Nursing Home Music Ministry
"Lincolnshire Alzheimer's Unit"
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 32 weeks since beginning this years mission. So far we've enjoyed
the privilege of sharing the gospel in song with 110 Nursing Homes and 26
Churches. To God Be The Glory!
Monday August 4 th ~
Published from the Newport library, and enjoyed a last day with Dave & Robin going
for a walk at the Dunes and doing some singing in the evening featuring Robin on
the Keyboard and Dave on Bass Guitar.
Tuesday August 5 th ~
Said my goodbye's and drove to Lincoln City, Oregon where the folks at the Four
Square church gave me a place to park as in previous years.
Ministered at the "Lincoln City Rehab Center". Before I got started, one of the dear
ladies called me over and apologetically said "I didn't bring any change". I answered
"That's OK dear, this is all free". Her response was "Oh Good!"
Wednesday August 6 th ~
Ministered at the "Lincolnshire" ALF. First in the main lobby, then over in the
Alzheimer's Unit. There was a very frail lady brought in just as I got started.
Wheelchair, oxygen tubes, confused. She was silent the whole time, except. During
"Swing Low Sweet Chariot". I heard this high pitched, sweet angelic voice, singing
along. A note here, a note there. To my surprise it was her. Beautiful!
Spent some time in the library working on the laptop, then at mid-week services here
at the Foursquare church I enjoyed the Honor of contributing some songs.
This sweet group of Believers also provided some much needed resources for the
ministry. May God Bless Them!
Thursday August 7 th ~
Drove to Tillamook, Oregon and sang at the "Kilchis House" for a small group of
folks. Then, like last year, I received permission to park at the United Methodist
Church while in the area.
Friday August 8 th ~
Sang at the "Five Rivers" retirement & assisted living community here in Tillamook
for a large group of folks.
Saturday August 9 th ~
Attended a funeral service here at the church for a dear lady who was living at "Five
Rivers" last year.
Sunday August 10 th ~
Attended worship services here at the church where I enjoyed the Honor of
contributing some songs. It happened to be "Soup Sunday", so I got to share in
some food & fellowship. Also, a couple of folks slipped me something for the
ministry. May God Bless Them!

And So Begins Another Week.

May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!

Yours In Christ, Larry
