"Sherwood Residential Care" Veneta, Oregon
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 29 weeks since beginning this years mission. So far we've
enjoyed the privilege of sharing the gospel in song with 100 Nursing Homes and
22 Churches. To God Be The Glory!
Monday July 14 th ~
Early morning Doctors appointment to review test results.
Not too bad for an over-weight/over-fifty Diabetic.
Need diet and exercise or pills. Have decided on the former for now.
Published the update then got in a good walk.
Tuesday July 15 th ~
Over did it singing, the past few days. Oral surgery site started giving me some
trouble. So I had to reschedule today's nursing home to next week.
Rode with Al to V.B.S. enjoying the visit and opportunity to say thank you for
their Hospitality. What a Blessing it's been to have the use of their Fifth Wheel RV
to recover and work out of.
May God Bless Them!
Wednesday July 16 th ~
Loaded up the van. Cleaned up the Fifth Wheel and drove to Elmira, Oregon.
Visited with the Pastor (Gordon) of the Open Bible church. Over to Lynne &
David's, then to mid-week services.
Thursday July 17 th ~
Ministered at the "Sherwood Residential Care" facility in Veneta. We gathered
outside under a gazebo tent on this comfortable (not too hot, not too cold) day.
Following one of the Gospel songs we all got a little tickled when Ruthie
(resident), which the A.D. calls their Sage, exclaimed "Hurray! For our side!".
Friday July 18 th ~
Spent the day recording in Lynne & David's garage.
Saturday July 19 th ~
Attended the Breakfast Bible Study in Eugene. Then back out to Lynne & David's
in Elmira for more recording work including being able to get Lynne contributing
back-up vocals.
Sunday July 20 th ~
Attended worship services at the "Open Bible" church in Elmira where I enjoyed
the Honor of contributing songs in both services.
The Pastor (Gordon) encouraged the Flock to help support the ministry as they
felt led to.
And they did! May God Bless Them!
And So Begins Another Week.
May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
