Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 24 weeks since beginning this years mission. So far we've enjoyed the
privilege of sharing the gospel in song with 92 Nursing Homes and 20 Churches. To
God Be The Glory!
Monday June 9 th ~
Up Early! While looking for a shower, I was directed to the Salvation Army where not
only did they give me a couple of vouchers for showers at a locale RV Park, they even
gave me a voucher for twenty bucks worth of gas. May God Bless Them!
Published the update from the library here in Pendleton, Oregon. Then ministered at the
"Willowbrook Terrace" nursing home for a sweet group of folks. Several of 'em got
excited when a large Bird-of-Prey flew past the windows the moment I started singing
"I'll Fly Away".
Tuesday June 10 th ~
Got over to the Salvation Army early to walk the perimeter with them, praying at each
corner. Then ministered at the "MaKay Creek Estates" ALF for a lovely group of folks.
One of the gentlemen present is one hundred years old.
Wednesday June 11 th ~
Drove through central Oregon in and out of several national forest. Made it into the city
of Redmond a bit too late to minister for today.
Thursday June 12 th ~
Sang at the "Redmond Health Center" for a heartbreaking group of folks. Then drove on
to Eugene, Oregon.
Friday June 13 th ~
Ministered at the "Grandview" nursing home for an awesome group. Folks were singing
along and some staff members were dancing around. It was sweet.
Did a bit of visiting old friends around town, ending the day at an ice-cream social at the
Norkenzie Church of Christ where I got a shower and place to park for the night.
Saturday June 14 th ~
Dreamed about Heaven last night. We were like children in a day care being taken care
of and taught by adults (Angels). We were told "It is spring time here". At one point I
was given the nerve to ask "Is this Heaven?" They affirmed that it was. Sweet!
I woke up thinking, WOW! The Good Lord just gave me a dream about Heaven! Praise
His Holy Name!
Made it to an early morning bible study breakfast at a locale restaurant. These folks,
which I met last year, have been getting together like this for EIGHT years. May God
Bless Them!
Sunday June 15 th ~
Attended the early worship service at "Grace Community Church" in Eugene. Then over
to the Norkenzie Church for second service.
In the afternoon, out at the "Bethany Church" in Franklin, I enjoyed the Honor of
contributing several songs. Dear friends Al & Karolynk invited me to park back at their
place. When we got there they offered the use of their fifth wheel travel trailer. May God
Bless Them!
And So Begins Another Week.
