Nursing Home Music Ministry

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 18 weeks since beginning this years mission. So far we've enjoyed the
privilege of sharing the gospel in song with 69 Nursing Homes and 14 Churches. To
God Be The Glory!
Monday April 28 th ~
Peaceful nights sleep at the farm of Bonnie & Gerald's located outside of Clyde,
Wisconsin. Enjoyed a country breakfast, said goodbyes and thank you's, and drove
into Dodgeville to a fast food place to Publish. Spent some time visiting with Ronnie, a
fella in his 60's with a locale music ministry.
Then drove on to Elkhorn in southeast Wisconsin to visit and have dinner with Sisters
Cindy & Joy before going on to a Wal-Mart for the night.
Tuesday April 29 th ~
Sang at "Inspiration Ministries". A complex dedicated to helping folks of all ages with
disabilities. You should feel the loving Spirit that covers this place.
On the property is a camp area with extensive dorms and facilities used throughout
the year for massive camp meetings and other events. I was given a place to park and
shower while in the area. Again timing was sweet. They had a Volunteer's Banquet
scheduled for tonight which I got to attend. Yum!
Wednesday April 30 th ~
Ministered at the "Holton Manor" in Elkhorn. Enjoyed lunch and a visit with Sisters
Cindy & Joy. Then sang at "Ridgestone Village".
Back at Inspiration Ministries I met Mel who has a puppet/ventriloquist ministry and
also does carpentry work on the property. He treated me to dinner in town, and when
we got back to camp I was able to join a group having a bible study in the basement
where I was given the opportunity to contribute a few songs.
Thursday May 1 st ~
Said goodbye & thank you to some of the staff and residents here. Then sang in
Elkhorn at the "Kindred Hearts" ALF.
A Brother (Josh) whom I met last night at the bible study, had invited me to come visit
and park overnight at his house near the shore of Lake Michigan. About fifty miles
east of here. So I arrived in the early afternoon and enjoyed some fellowship and a
walk along the waterfront.
Friday May 2 nd ~
Spent the day catching up on domestic chores. Vacuumed out the van, did laundry,
and assembled some ministry business cards here at Josh's place.
Saturday May 3 rd ~
Took the day off.
Sunday May 4 th ~
What a pleasure it's been to take a break from being on the road and to relax here at
Josh's house for a few days. May God Bless Him!
Drove about an hour west to the town of Walworth ("Service Engine Soon" light came
on again) and attended the "True North Ministry" church. This is the same group I met
at the bible study Wednesday night. They invited me to contribute a Special during
services, and afterwards I enjoyed some fellowship while sharing lunch with a large
group at a Cafe nearby.
And So Begins Another Week.
May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!
Yours In Christ, Larry
