Nursing Home Music Ministry
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 21 weeks since beginning this years mission. So far we've enjoyed the
privilege of sharing the gospel in song with 83 Nursing Homes and 18 Churches. To
God Be The Glory!
Monday May 19 th ~
Enjoyed some fellowship around the kitchen table with Donavon & Adeline from the
Lighthouse Church here in Minot, North Dakota. Then spent about four hours at the
library creating a slide show for the update and publishing it.
Drove west to a free campground in Stanley, North Dakota.
Tuesday May 20 th ~
Ministered at the "Mountrail Bethel Home" here in Stanley. Staff gathered quite a crowd.
Two dear lady's sang along with most songs with a tendency to get ahead of me. We all
got real tickled about it at one point.
Drove west to Williston, ND where I arranged to sing in facilities for the next two days,
and spent the afternoon working on a slide show in the library.
Wednesday May 21 st ~
Sang at "The Kensington" assisted living facility here in Williston. Afterwards, one of
the gentlemen shook my hand and with tears in his eye's said "This has been the most
worthy time I could have spent here, I wouldn't have missed it for nothing".
Makes it all worth while! M.G.B.H!
Thursday May 22 nd ~
Ministered at the "Bethel Lutheran Home" here in Williston. These folks enjoy a very
large activity center that seats over a hundred. With a twenty foot stage and in-house
sound system.
The staff came close to filling the place up and oh how the Spirit was moving. There
were moments you could almost hear a pin drop. Sweet!
Friday May 23 rd ~
Ministered at the Hospital here in their extended care unit for eight folks. One of the
patients is a singer in her church's Praise & Worship Team. We sang a Duet (May The
Circle Be Unbroken) with her leading the verses while I harmonized during the Chorus.
Sounded Good!
Saturday May 24 th ~
This past week (Another First Experience) at a Buffett Dinner I got my "First Senior
Discount". They had it for Fifty and over. Told 'em "I've been waiting for this for years".
Crossed the border into Montana and stopped at a small town city park which allowed
overnight parking. Rained most all day.
Sunday May 25 th ~
Heading out of town a Dove landed in front of me slowing me down for a moment. Ten
minutes later, about a mile in front of me, an oncoming pickup veered into my lane
colliding head on with a truck in front of me. We assume it killed both almost instantly.
I prayed for them, remained at the scene for an hour, then was directed onto county
roads around the blocked highway.
Continuing west, stopped in Savage, Montana and attended the "Yellowstone
Community Church" where I was given the opportunity to contribute a song. One of the
couples (Don & Teresa) invited me back to their place for lunch. They also offered a
shower for the road. May God Bless Them!
Continued West to a rest area for the night.

And So Begins Another Week.

May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!

Yours In Christ, Larry
