Nursing Home Music Ministry

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 19 weeks since beginning this years mission. So far we've enjoyed
the privilege of sharing the gospel in song with 74 Nursing Homes and 14 Churches.
To God Be The Glory!
Monday May 5 th ~
Published the Update from the library in Marshal, Wisconsin. Then a bit further north
in Portage, WI. I ministered at the "Heritage House" assisted living facility (ALF) for a
large group. Before I left, one of the residents had gone to his room and brought
back sheet music for "One Day At A Time". So, time to learn another song.
Tuesday May 6 th ~
Stopped in Stevens Point, Wisconsin at the "Portage County Health Care Center". A
locale church group was about to start a scheduled service in the chapel of this
large facility. I was able to contribute a few songs at the beginning, then went to one
of the lunch rooms and sang more before their meal. Later, out in the parking lot,
one of the dear members (Linda) slipped me a twenty. May God Bless Her!
Wednesday May 7 th ~
Ministered in Ladysmith, Wisconsin at the "Ladysmith Nursing Home" during lunch.
Quite a few sang along. One poor fella continually shook his head in denial of the
Gospel message.
Thursday May 8 th ~
Ministered at a large senior apartment complex in Clear Lake, Wisconsin. Although
this is an independent living facility, a large group of retiree's is in the habit of
gathering in their spacious common room for mid-morning coffee.
They very graciously allowed me to sing for them. Were very attentive and
appreciative. In fact, one fella encouraged me to camp and shower at their city park.
And told me to tell those in charge to come to him for any fee. Turned out to be
legitimate. The park officials accepted his & my word.
Friday May 9 th ~
Sang at the "Clear Lake Manor", a residential care facility in town with four
residents. Then drove a few more miles down the road to Baldwin where I spent the
afternoon in the library learning how to create a slide show for the website.
The Police Office was in the same building. I was able to get permission to overnight
in their city park (Not technically set up for camping).
Saturday May 10 th ~
Finished producing the slide show, then drove on into Burnsville, Minnesota where I
hooked up with friends Rick, Pam and Cullen. Enjoyed a sweet reunion with
fellowship and dinner.
Sunday May 11 th ~
Beautiful Day! Attended a large church "Hosanna!" with Rick, Pam and Cullen. A fine
meal afterwards. Then we spent the rest of the day touring around the twin cities
(Minneapolis/St. Paul). Rick being a photographer, brought along his camera, helping
me come up with a front jacket cover for the current CD project.
And So Begins Another Week.
May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!
Yours In Christ, Larry
