Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 17 weeks since beginning this years mission. So far we've enjoyed the
privilege of sharing the gospel in song with 65 Nursing Homes and 13 Churches. To
God Be The Glory!
Monday April 21 st ~
Francene, Randy and Lori have graciously provided a room in their home while I
minister in this area. May God Bless Them!
Published from the house, then sang at the "St. Francis Nursing Home" here in
Grinnell, Iowa. And later attended Revival night at the "Church of Hope" where I
enjoyed the Honor of contributing a song.
Tuesday April 22 nd ~
Ministered at the "Friendship Manor Care Centre" here in Grinnell. Then in the
evening, again attended Revival night where I was given the opportunity to contribute
a song.
Wednesday April 23 rd ~
Spent part of the day working on the inside jacket cover for the current CD project.
Then sang at the "Mayflower" assisted living facility in their purpose built auditorium
called the "Carmen Center". With a stage and in-house sound system, we enjoyed a
nice time together.
Another First Experience: I attended a little country church "Westfield Church" just
outside Grinnell where I was given the opportunity to share my testimony, sing and
minister to a group of about 25 kids. The Holy Spirit gave me the words, and it was
AWESOME. The fellowship and hugs afterwards were sweet as Holy Kisses.
Thursday April 24 th ~
Ministered at the "Windsor Manor" ALF here in Grinnell, then later attended the last
night of Revival at the "Church of Hope" where I sang a Special.
Friday April 25 th ~
Said my goodbye's to these dear folks last night and this morning. What a Blessing it
is each year to be given a place to spread out and minister in all the nursing homes
while in this area. As well as the growing Christian friendship and fellowship with this
group of Believers.
Drove to Hampton, Iowa and sang at the "Hampton Health Care Center" just as Bingo
was ending. Had a nice crowd gathered.
Noticed a tire looking low. When I checked, it was down to ten pounds pressure. Got
over to a tire repair place just before they closed. They found a nail in it and patched it
up. Charged me twenty one dollars. So the twenty dollars the activity director had just
given me stayed in the community.
Saturday April 26 th ~
Ministered at the "Westview Care Center" in Britt, Iowa for a rather large group of
folks. Then started east. Since a strong Front was blowing in that direction, I decided
to take advantage of the gas savings and drove on into Wisconsin with a tail wind.
Sunday April 27 th ~
Attended worship services at the "Evangelical Free Church in Edmund, Wisconsin. A
sweet couple (Gerald & Bonnie) invited me to lunch and to stay out at their farm
overnight. Enjoyed the fellowship, and oh a what nostalgic example of Hospitality.
And So Begins Another Week.
May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!
Yours In Christ, Larry
P.S. Check out another mp3 from the next CD entitled:
