Nursing Home Music Ministry
Spring Is On The Way
"Edisto Memorial Gardens"
Orangeburg, South Carolina
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 12 weeks since beginning this years mission. So far we've enjoyed the
privilege of sharing the gospel in song with 43 Nursing Homes and 7 Churches. To
God Be The Glory!
Monday March 17 th ~
Beautiful Morning! Took some pictures of the pond at the Refuge for last week's
newsletter. Then got over to the library here in Quitman, Georgia.
After finishing the weekly job of publishing to the website, I stopped and visited with a
dear Brother in Christ who gave me some spiritual encouragement, prayer, and a tank
of gas. May God Bless Him!
Eventually got back on down the road to a Wal-Mart for the night.
Tuesday March 18 th ~
In Jesup, Georgia I ministered at the "Jesup Healthcare" facility. Then down the road a
bit to sing at the "Coastal Manor" in Ludowici, Georgia. First in the general area of the
facility, then over in the Alzheimer's unit with a much larger group.
"Check Engine Light" came on!
At an auto parts store, I was able to use their hand held analyzer to plug into the vans
computer and read the code. Turned out to show a vapor leak at the gas cap. Since
this is a new cap, I simply took it off and put it back on tightly, and erased the code
from the vans computer so the light would go off. Easy Fix! Praise God!
Wednesday March 19 th ~
Got a workout and shower at the YMCA here in Hinesville, Georgia. Then crossed the
border into South Carolina where I ministered at the "Heritage Healthcare" facility in
Estill. Partway through a lady began to manifest a nasty Spirit. About this time more
residents started coming in, and staff members gathered. Exciting.
On down the road, I spotted a church set back from the highway with some vehicles
around it. About the time I got past, two Dove landed right in front of me and didn't
move till the last moment. My spirit told me to go back and say Hi. So I did. God works
in mysterious ways.
Turns out they'd sustained quite a bit of damage from the same storm system which
produced the tornado that hit Atlanta. For a few minutes I visited with the secretary (
who is also the praise & worship leader). She called in the pastor for a short visit. As I
said goodbye he walked me out to the van and as we got there he said "I want to sow
into your ministry". Handed me a hundred dollar bill! Awesome! May God Bless Him!
It shouldn't matter, but I will mention that this is an African-American congregation.
Thursday March 20 th ~
Sang for a sweet group of six residents and one staff member at "Tyler Restmore". A
residential care home. They invited me to stay for lunch, so we enjoyed some nice
fellowship.
Went for a walk in the "Edisto Memorial Gardens" here in Orangeburg, SC. Then to
the library where I finished (for now) one of the projects I've been working on. Which
is to get all the past UPDATES over into the website. Check it out on the Journal
Button.
Friday March 21 st ~
Sang at the "Catherine Manor" residential care facility for four residents and two staff
members, then down the road in Wolfton, SC I was able to minister at the "Dreamland
Residential Care Home" for a group of four.
On into West Columbia, SC where I spent some time in the library editing songs on the
laptop, then over to the "Lion of Judah Worship Center" for their regular Friday night
service.
Saturday March 22 nd ~
Spent most of the day at the library editing songs.
Sunday March 23 rd ~
Attended worship services at the "Lion of Judah Worship Center" here in West
Columbia. These folks didn't use the term "Easter Sunday". They greeted one another
with "Happy Resurrection Day". I kinda like that.

And So Begins Another Week.

May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!

Yours In Christ, Larry
