And Changing The Oil At The Parsonage
"Trinity Church" Center Point, Texas
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 49 weeks since beginning this years mission. So far we've enjoyed
the privilege of sharing the gospel in song with 188 Nursing Homes and 42
Churches. To God Be The Glory!
Monday December 1 st ~
Published the update, then checked out the low income medical assistance
program available here in Austin. Unfortunately they're so backed up, that they are
booking appointments two months away.
I've got another tooth starting to bother me, so please pray as I'm beginning the
southwest loop through New Mexico and Arizona.
Attended Barbara's Home Group / Pot Luck Dinner / Worship Service / Prayer
Meeting in Lakeway, just west of Austin. At one point folks gathered around
praying for the ministry. May God Bless Them!
Tuesday December 2 nd ~
Drove to Johnson City, Texas and ministered at the "LBJ Medical Center". Then on
down the road to a quiet Rest Area for the night.
Wednesday December 3 rd ~
In Fredericksburg, Texas I was able to sing for a large group at the "Knopp
Healthcare & Rehab Center". Went very well. Then on to Center Point, Texas for
mid-week services at the "Trinity Church" where I ended up parking for the night.
Thursday December 4 th ~
These folks have an empty Parsonage behind the church building which they only
use on sunday morning for the teens. Don (the Pastor) gave me a key along with
permission to use the facilities while I'm in the area. May God Bless Him!
Drove the ten miles into Kerrville, Texas to line up some nursing homes. One of the
activity directors (Jake) took me out to lunch and upon hearing about my tooth,
called a Brother in Christ who is a Dentist. This Doctor Brother had me come in
right away. He took a look at it along with an x-ray. Didn't see anything obvious.
Told me how to keep an eye on symptoms and gave me a prescription for
antibiotics to put in my wallet just in case it flairs up down the road. May God Bless
Both Of Them!
Made it over to the "Edgewater Care Center" to sing for a sweet group. About half
of which were brought out of the Alzheimer's Unit.
Friday December 5 th ~
Did some computer work and got in a long exercise walk. Then took the rest of the
day off.
Saturday December 6 th ~
Did an oil change on the van and joined the church group for a delicious "Fish
Fry". YUM!
Sunday December 7 th ~
Attended worship services at the "Trinity Church" here in Center Point, Texas
where I enjoyed the Honor of contributing a couple of songs, morning and evening.
The Pastor (Don) encouraged folks to support the ministry. Which they did, in
abundance. May God Bless Them!
And So Begins Another Week.
May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!
Yours In Christ, Larry
