Nursing Home Music Ministry
"Good Samaritan" Benson, Arizona
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 52 weeks since beginning this years mission. So far we've
enjoyed the privilege of sharing the gospel in song with 200 Nursing Homes and
46 Churches. To God Be The Glory!
Monday December 22 th ~
Published the update from the "Bethel Baptist Church" here in Deming, New
Mexico.
Tuesday December 23 rd ~
Ministered at the "Beehive Senior Living Home" here in town.
Wednesday December 24 th ~
Loaded up the van. Showered up and said my goodbye's. What wonderful folks
here, to allow me the use of their facilities while in the area. May God Bless Them!
Crossed the border into Arizona and made it to Benson for the night.
Thursday December 25 th ~
Christmas Day!
Sang at the "Good Samaritan" here in Benson. About halfway through I spotted a
fella in the Hall making rounds in a Santa Suit. So, I invited him in to the activity
room to greet the folks. And got him to sing a song (Silent Night) with me.
Friday December 26 th ~
Got hit by rain, wind and blowing snow just outside Tucson. So I found a
Wal-mart and Hunkered down for the rest of the day.
Saturday December 27 th ~
Dawned a bright / pretty day. Drove to Apache Junction which is just outside of
Phoenix, Arizona. And hooked up with Les & Judy whom I met this past summer
in Wisconsin. Spent the afternoon visiting. They live in one of those retirement
mobile parks during the winter. Then like a lot of people here, they spend
summers back in northern states where they're originally from.
Most of these folks live humbly in small park model mobile homes or RV's.
Sunday December 28 th ~
Attended an early worship service here at the "Cherokee Village" club house
where I enjoyed the Honor of contributing some songs and a short message.
Then rode with Les & Judy to the "First Baptist Church".
Afterwards I joined a group for lunch, then back to the park for TV & dinner with
my Host.
And So Begins Another Week.
May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!
Yours In Christ, Larry
