Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 45 weeks since beginning this years mission. So far we've
enjoyed the privilege of sharing the gospel in song with 180 Nursing Homes and
39 Churches. To God Be The Glory!
Monday November 3 rd ~
Published the update from the home of Pastors (Ron & GeorgeAnn) of the
"Rivers of Water Harvest' church here in Antlers, Oklahoma. Then ministered at
the "Antlers Rest Home" for a good size little group. Ron joined me there, singing
backup vocals and playing along with his guitar.
Back to their place for dinner and a little Monday Night Football. May God Bless
these Hospitable folks for providing a place to park, fellowship and such.
Tuesday November 4 th ~
Said my goodbye's and drove south to Hugo, Oklahoma to "The Baptist Village"
nursing home where I was able to sing for a sweet group of folks. The A.D. ran
home to get her digital video recorder, and bless her heart, she had a minor
accident backing out of her driveway. She had to do the police report thing. And
still made it back before I started singing.
Continued south on into Texas to a Wal-Mart for the night.
Wednesday November 5 th ~
Ministered at the "Gilmer Care Center" in Gilmer, Texas. Then further south in
Crocket, Texas I was able to sing at the "Houston County Nursing Home" for an
awesome group.
A dear lady sang some old time Spiritual (call & response type) vocals with
several of the songs. Sometimes they were words from other songs, but she
made 'em fit. We had a good ole' time. one lady with hands raised was fervently
speaking in tongues throughout a good part of our time together. It was a
Powerful movement of the Spirit!
Thursday November 6 th ~
Continuing south I ministered at the "St. Joseph Manor" in Caldwell, Texas. Then
on to Yoakum, Texas where I visited with my mother a bit.
Friday November 7 th ~
Got to visit with a bunch of cousins, then ministered at the "Stevens Health Care
& Rehab Center". First in the main activity room. Then over in the Alzheimer's
Unit.
Saturday November 8 th ~
Drove to Austin, Texas where I visited with Family and Friends.
Sunday November 9 th ~
Attended the early worship services at "Jubilee Christian Center" where I got lots
of hugs from dear friends. Then over to "Bannockburn Baptist Church" for a
Singles class. Followed by a few hours of Sunday afternoon football watch'in.
Then a home group bible study at Sister Sarah's where I enjoyed the Honor of
singing a new song for the group.
And So Begins Another Week.
May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!
Yours In Christ, Larry
