Nursing Home Music Ministry
Jamming & Sailing
These Guy's & Gal Were Awesome Musicians
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 40 weeks since beginning this years mission. So far we've enjoyed the
privilege of sharing the gospel in song with 156 Nursing Homes and 34 Churches. To
God Be The Glory!
Monday September 29 th ~
Published from the library here in Sidney, Nebraska.
Folks at the Salvation Army Thrift Store indirectly provided a motel room for the night.
So, I took the afternoon off.
Tuesday September 30 th ~
A lady working in the laundry mat I used this morning told me her mother was living in
the nursing home in the next town over. So I drove there, to Chappell, Nebraska and
sang at the "Miller Memorial Care Center". They have a nice big park with man made
lake I was able to stay overnight at.
Wednesday October 1 st ~
Ministered at the "Sutherland Care Center" for a lovely group of folks. The Spirit was
moving Mightily. The activity director (Nicky), a Dear Sister in Christ, has been
suffering quite a bit over the past year with back surgery's which haven't helped. And
is facing more. Please Pray for her.
Thursday October 2 nd ~
In Alma, Nebraska I was welcomed with open arms at the "Good Samaritan" nursing
home. The administrator (Markus) ended up offering a room at their house for the
weekend to relax and recharge. May God Bless Him!
Friday October 3 rd ~
Enjoyed a day off with a nice walk beside the lake and a sumptuous Curry dinner
prepared by our brother Markus.
Saturday October 4 th ~
Went out on this windy day to sail around the lake. Exhilarating!
Sunday October 5 th ~
Attended worship services at the Lutheran Church where I enjoyed the Honor of
contributing a couple of songs.
Another First Experience! At the end of the service they had me stand next to the
pastor shaking hands and greeting folks (of this rather large congregation) as they
left. I felt Humbled by the Honor.
Markus and I then attended a Benefit Lunch held at the Fire Station for a locale child
having some medical difficulties.
We then joined a musical group at another church for a jam session. (Having been
invited by Cindy, a singer from church this morning.) A very talented group, it was a
sweet-learning experience to play with them.
And So Begins Another Week.
May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!
Yours In Christ, Larry
