Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 41 weeks since beginning this years mission. So far we've enjoyed
the privilege of sharing the gospel in song with 160 Nursing Homes and 36
Churches. To God Be The Glory!
Monday October 6 th ~
Enjoyed a wonderful weekend here in Alma, Nebraska at the home of Markus. What
a shinning example of Hospitality and Brotherly Love. May God Bless Him!
Crossed the border into Kansas and published the update from the library in
Phillipsburg. Then on to the town of Smith Center where I was able to minister in
the "Deseret Health Care" facility.
Their city park had a sign allowing overnight camping. So I hunkered down on this
stormy night.
Tuesday October 7 th ~
Sang at the "Parkview Manor" in Osborne, Kansas for a fantastic group of Christ
centered staff & residents. A real joy to fellowship with.
Wednesday October 8 th ~
In Great Bend, Kansas I hooked up with a group of Christians who gave me a place
to park and shower at their "Prodigal Son" House.
Ministered at the "Sterling House" ALF for a lovely group of folks. Then later,
during mid-week services at "Extreme Hope Christian Fellowship" I enjoyed the
opportunity of speaking to, and playing a couple of songs for twenty some odd
teenagers. They were very attentive. It went quite well.
Thursday October 9 th ~
Set up the printer & laptop in the Prodigal Son House and printed out a bunch of
ministry & prayer cards. Then sang at the "Great Bend Health & Rehab Center" for
a large group. One of the ladies was very enthusiastic the whole time. Praising
God, singing along, encouraging others.
After singing He Arose I assured folks, saying "The same POWER that raised
Jesus from the dead, will also raise us". This dear lady immediately exclaimed
"Let's Go Now!"
Friday October 10 th ~
Took the day off spending time with the guy's at the House, ending with a bible
study in the evening.
Saturday October 11 th ~
Did an oil change on the van. Laundry. And attended a Saturday night worship
service at "Extreme Hope".
Sunday October 11 th ~
Attended worship services at the "Eastside Baptist Church" here in Great Bend
where I enjoyed the Honor of contributing some songs along with messages which
tied into them.
And So Begins Another Week.
