Nursing Home Music Ministry
Dear Brothers And Sisters In Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 37 weeks since beginning this years mission. So far
we've enjoyed the privilege of sharing the gospel in song with 151
Nursing Homes and 25 Churches. To God Be The Glory!
Monday September 10 th ~
Published the newsletter from the SOS Ministry's headquarters here in
the San Francisco Bay Area. Changed the oil in the van. Edited, mixed
and Burned onto a CD the seventh song for the current project.
Tuesday September 11 th ~
Ministered at the "Oakridge Care Center" for a diverse group of folks
here in Oakland, California. The AD (LaTonya) was very enthusiastic,
encouraging the residents. She even arranged a sweet donation for the
ministry. May God Bless Her!
Back at the SOS House, I spent the afternoon editing one of the songs
and applying an Epsom Salt compress to the sore on my leg.
Wednesday September 12 th ~
Sang at the "High Street Nursing Center". Spent the rest  of the day
working on the laptop and treating the Boil.
At one point, I heard what sounded like someone falling against a wall,
shaking the whole house. Turned out to be a little earthquake (tremor).
Thursday September 13 th ~
Sang at the "Good Shepherd" nursing home here in Oakland for a lovely
group of folks.
Back at SOS, helped the group stuff envelopes for their monthly mail-out.
Also talked to a nurse on the phone about the sore on my leg.
Friday September 14 th ~
Although I had planned on heading out of the area today, no less than
Five individuals advised me to go to the emergency room of the Hospital.
So I did.
I was there from 10:00 am till 6:15 pm. Doctors did minor surgery; cutting
open the sore and cleaning out the infection. Stuffed the hole with gauze
(something I must now do once a day until it heals from the inside out).
Gave me antibiotics, pain medicine and a tetanus shot.
Didn't have to pay anything. However, I suspect a bill will come to the
Texas address.
Parked back at the SOS House for one more night.
Saturday September 15 th ~
Changed the dressing on the leg. Got  a shower and breakfast. Said my
goodbye's to the guy's. Lawrence offered up a sweet prayer for the
ministry. M.G.B.H!
Drove east across California through the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range
where I was able to get in a half mile hike on a nature trail at a rest area.
Crossed the border into Nevada, got off the Interstate onto a secondary
highway and pulled into a Wal-Mart for the night.
Sunday September 16 th ~
Attended morning worship services at the Nazarene church here in
Fallon, Nevada. They have a food pantry which they distribute after
services. I was encouraged to get a few canned goods. M.G.B.T!
Went next door to the "Ridgeline" ALF where I ministered in one building,
then over to their other building.
Attended evening worship services at the Southern Baptist church. Then
back over to Wal-Mart for the night.

And So Begins Another Week.

May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!

Yours In Christ, Larry
I'm on the Mend!
