Dear Brothers And Sisters In Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 36 weeks since beginning this years mission. So far
we've enjoyed the privilege of sharing the gospel in song with 147
Nursing Homes and 25 Churches. To God Be The Glory!
Monday September 3 rd ~
The Pastor (Tom) of the Fire Station church here at Three Rivers
Recreation Area, arranged access to the Internet for me to publish the
update. Then back at camp I visited a bit before everybody headed out.
Stopped and had lunch at Tom & Shelia's house and visited for a few
hours before driving to Redmond, Oregon to a Wal-Mart for the night.
Tuesday September 4 th ~
Ministered at the "Brookside House" ALF mid-morning for a small group
of folks who sang along with most of the songs. Then just after lunch
time, sang at the "Redmond Health Care Center".
Drove to Bend, Oregon where I spent several hours in the library
working on the website. Then over to Wal-Mart for the night.
Wednesday September 5 th ~
Ministered at the "Central Oregon Health Care Center" here in Bend. A
relatively young girl with a brain injury got very animated (with a Big 'ole
smile) during "Jesus Loves Me" and several other songs. Sweet!
Went over to the public swimming pool for a much needed shower, then
headed south out of town stopping for the night in a free county
campground.
Thursday September 6 th ~
Continuing south, stopped in Klamath Falls, Oregon and sang at the
"Pelican Point" ALF during dinner. It went very well. Quite a few
residents stopped to visit afterwards while I was being served a meal by
the staff. May God Bless Them!
Friday September 7 th ~
A few miles south of town I spotted a sign under a big motel sign which
read "Compassion Adult Foster Care". A small, older Motel with the
office / owners living quarters housing three residents. Was allowed to
sing for, and visit with, these three gentlemen.
Crossed the border into California and stopped for the night at a rest
area on IH 5.
Saturday September 8 th ~
Arrived in the Bay Area about noon. Over to a friend's (Lawrence) in
Oakland. This household is involved in full time street ministry. Enjoyed
some good 'ole fellowship, did laundry, got a shower, and was treated
to dinner at a Mexican Restaurant. May God Bless Him!
Sunday September 9 th ~
Attended morning worship services with Lawrence at a small Calvary
Chapel church in downtown San Francisco. Then in the evening
attended a communion service at Fairhaven Bible Chapel in San
Leandro with Eric, one of the street ministers here.
And So Begins Another Week.
May The Lord Our God

P.S. A Boil type sore has developed on top of my thigh near the knee.
It's become rather uncomfortable. Please Pray for me.
