Nursing Home Music Ministry
"Bayberry Commons" Springfield, Oregon
Dear Brothers And Sisters In Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 30 weeks since beginning this years ministry. So far we've
had the privilege of sharing the gospel in song with 133 Nursing Homes and
22 Churches. To God Be The Glory!
Monday July 23 th ~
Ministered in the long term care unit of the hospital here in Reedsport,
Oregon. Every time I asked for request, a dear lady wanted to hear "Jesus
Loves Me". Gave me the opportunity to do a couple of different versions.
Published the update from a coffee house in town. Then drove inland to
Eugene, Oregon stopping at the Norkenzie church to get a timely shower.
Tuesday July 24 th ~
Spent most the day at the Norkenzie church copying and assembling CD's.
Then attended worship services out at the Cowboy Church.
Wednesday July 25 th ~
Sang at the "Spring Valley" ALF in Springfield where a dear lady with a
sweet smile and tear filled eye's said "The first three songs had me crying".
She then humbly asked if I had any recordings, so I got her one of the CD's.
Spent another four hours or so at the Norkenzie church copying and
assembling more CD's. Then over to Mike & Jean's for their weekly ping
pong party / back yard music / get-together.
Thursday July 26 th ~
Ministered at the "Riverpark" nursing home here in Eugene.
Friday July 27 th ~
Went for a two mile hike enjoying a morning meal along the way. In this part
of the country, big juicy blackberries are starting to ripen. They seem to be
everywhere, so breakfast is free for the pick'in.
Ministered at the "Bayberry Commons" ALF in Springfield, a city next to
Eugene separated by Interstate Highway 5.
Saturday July 28 th ~
Did some recording in Rusty's garage. Then met a group in Springfield to
see the musical play "Grease".
Sunday July 29 th ~
Attended worship services at the "Open Bible Church" in Elmira, Oregon.
After which a group of us went to an annual BBQ picnic being held on the
grounds of another church.
And So Begins Another Week.
May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!
Yours In Christ, Larry
