Nursing Home Music Ministry
"Oceanview Senior Retirement Community" Newport, Oregon
Dear Brothers And Sisters In Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 25 weeks since beginning this years ministry. So far we've had the privilege of
sharing the gospel in song with 115 Nursing Homes and 18 Churches. To God Be The Glory!

A Brother (Patrick) from church yesterday had offered the use of his Internet connection for
publishing the update today. So, after visiting with him for a couple of hours this morning, I took
care of that, then joined him for lunch a few blocks away at a church which serves a daily meal
for the poor. Pat did what he could for the ministry; access to the Internet, lunch, and a shower.
May God Bless Him!
Tuesday June 19 th ~
Ministered at the "Pacific Care Center" here in Aberdeen, Washington. Was well received.
Further south, parked for the night in an old growth forest with towering trees and lots of fern
& ivy. So dark at night, couldn't see the hand in front of the face.
Wednesday June 20 th ~
Ministered at the "Willapa Harbor Care Center" here in Raymond, Washington. One particular
lady sang along and smiled the whole time. She practically Glowed with the Spirit. A nurse told
me she is like that all the time and a real Blessing to the other residents & staff. M.G.B.H!
Crossed over into Oregon, stopping in Tillamook where I attended mid-week services at the
United Methodist Church. Enjoyed the Honor of contributing some songs, and the pastor
(Peggy) encouraged folks to help out with an offering for the ministry. May God Bless Them!
Thursday June 21 st ~
Ministered at the "Five Rivers Retirement & Assisted Living Community" here in Tillamook,
Oregon. Then drove south to Newport and hooked up with a brother & sister in Christ (Dave &
Robin) who treated me to dinner and put me up in an extra bedroom. May God Bless Them!
Friday June 22 nd ~
Dave, Robin and I ministered at the "Oceanview Senior Living Community" here in Newport.
Had a lovely group singing along and making request. The time seemed to fly by.
Saturday June 23 rd ~
Dave had to go to the Hospital during the night, with complications from a procedure he'd
undergone earlier in the week. They did another procedure, and Praise God, he got to go home
shortly after noontime. We spent the rest of the day catching up on sleep and lazing around
watching movies.
Sunday June 24 th ~
Attended worship services at the Assembly of God church here in Newport where I enjoyed the
Honor of contributing a couple of songs. Later, at the Big Creek Point Apartments for seniors,
had the opportunity to sing during their monthly birthday social. Towards evening, took
pleasure in a walk on the beach, then a movie & lasagna back at Dave & Robin's. YUM!

And So Begins Another Week

May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!

Yours In Christ, Larry
