Nursing Home Music Ministry
"Home Sweet Home"
Dear Brothers And Sisters In Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 24 weeks since beginning this years ministry. So far we've had the privilege of
sharing the gospel in song with 110 Nursing Homes and 16 Churches. To God Be The Glory!
Monday June 11 th ~
Ministered at "Apple Meadows Assisted Living & Memory Care" here in Omak, Washington. Then
over to the library to publish the update.
Tuesday June 12 th ~
The Spirit moved me to get goin. So I headed south stopping in Brewster, Washington at the
"Harmony House Care Center". Spotted a fella (John) walking across the parking lot with a guitar.
Asked if I could join him. Turns out they have a regularly scheduled service at this time. John
ended up having me do the singing and rythum while he played acoustic lead guitar. He has an
awesome talent; we sounded pretty good together. Residents and staff seemed to really enjoy it.
Wednesday June 13 th ~
Started across the Cascade Range Mountains and parked for the night in a primitive area of the
Wenatchee National Forest. Practiced some songs and did some hiking and reading.
Thursday June 14 th ~
Continued across the mountains down to Marysville, Washington and sang at the "Grandview
Village Retirement & Assisted Living Community". A bit of Notoriety: An attractive redhead (one
of the residents) used to perform with Christi Lane, the singer who made famous the song "One
Day At A Time". She joined in with some of the songs. Still has a pretty singing voice.
Friday June 15 th ~
This week has been filled with highs and lows. Today was low.
Saturday June 16 th ~
Enjoyed a smooth passage through the Seattle traffic to the southwest corner of Washington
State. Stopped in Montesano, Washington and sang at the "Hindbaugh Adult Family Home". A
privately owned two story mansion with six residents. We had a sweet time of singing God's
praises. The owner (Ida), May God Bless Her Heart, slipped me a little something for the ministry.
Sunday June 17 th ~
Attended worship services at the Missionary Alliance Church here in Aberdeen, Washington.
Stayed for a pot-luck lunch and some fellowship. Then back to Wal-Mart for a two mile hike along
the waterfront. Later, not feeling too well, went to bed early along about 5:00 pm.
And So Begins Another Week.
May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!
Yours In Christ, Larry
