Nursing Home Music Ministry
"Valley View Care Center" Sandpoint, Idaho
Dear Brothers And Sisters In Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 23 weeks since beginning this years ministry. So far we've had the privilege
of sharing the gospel in song with 106 Nursing Homes and 16 Churches. To God Be The Glory!
Monday June 4 th ~
Laundry Day! Built the web page and did everything I could off-line while doing laundry. Then
over to the library here in Kalispell, Montana to publish the update.
Back on the road heading west, stopped at Kootenai Falls and walked across their "Swinging
Bridge". A three foot wide suspension bridge strung across a gorge below the Falls. A bit of a
trill.
Then crossed the border into Idaho to Bonners Ferry and hooked up with my buddy Greg. We
enjoyed a Bacon & Eggs dinner and caught up on whats been happening the past year.
Tuesday June 5 th ~
Ministered at the "Boundary County Nursing Home" mid-morning, back to Greg's at noon, then
over to the "Community Restorium" asisted living facility. Spent the afternoon at Gregs for
more fellowship.
Wednesday June 6 th ~
Enjoyed a Bacon & Egg breakfast, got showered up for the road, and said goodbye to Greg.
[P.S. Greg has a heavy cross to bare; an industrial accident years ago, left him a paraplegic. So
please pray for him, and May God Bless Him!]
Drove to Sandpoint, Idaho and sang at the "Life Care Center of Sandpoint".
Thursday June 7 th ~
Ministered at the "Valley View Care Center" here in Sandpoint. Sang for one group in the main
dinning room, then over to the Men's Behavioral Unit for guys with brain injury and
Alzheimer's. Then to several rooms for folks who can't come out.
Back on the road, crossed the border into Washington State to a Wal-Mart in Spokane for the
night.
Friday June 8 th ~
Failed to minister in a nursing home today. Drove part of the day, hiked around Coulee Dam
some, ended up in Omak, Washington.
Saturday June 9 th ~
A Day of Rest!
Sunday June 10 th ~
Attended worship services at the "Church of God" here in Omak where I had the Honor of
contributing some songs. Spent the afternoon at the park. Attended evening services back at
the Church of God where I again enjoyed the privilege of sharing some songs.
And So Begins Another Week.
May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!
Yours In Christ, Larry
