Nursing Home Music Ministry
Dear Brothers And Sisters In Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 20 weeks since beginning this years ministry. So far we've enjoyed the privilege
of sharing the gospel in song with 91 Nursing Homes and 14 Churches. To God Be The Glory!
Monday May 14 th ~
Today we ministered at the "Kindred Hearts" assisted living facility here in Elkhorn, Wisconsin.
Tuesday May 15 th ~
Took a sick day.
Wednesday May 16 th ~
Sang at the "Holton Manor" here in Elkhorn during their regularly scheduled church service.
Sang for about ten minutes, then the preacher spoke for about fifteen, then sang for another
thirty.
Thursday May 17 th ~
Said goodbye's to Carlos, Mary, Cindy & Joy. What a Blessing these folks have been. May God
Bless Them!
Drove to Portage, Wisconsin and sang at the "Heritage House" assisted living facility. Then over
to Wal-Mart for the night.
Friday May 18 th ~
Mid-morning, played at the "Northview Manor" here in Portage. This facility is comprised of two
Residential Care units next to each other. Each one is allowed a maximum of 14 residents. They
have a mixture of elderly and middle-aged both physically and cognitively challenged individuals.
The staff was very helpful in bringing folks together and joining in. They even managed a
contribution for the ministry. May God Bless Them!
A little further north, got some exercise on a hiking trail, then parked by a lake and read
"Adventures of an Imp". The first seven chapters of what someday could be a Book, written by
Joy (the young lady I met this week). It's about some of her experiences and feelings, from the
unique perspective of a Christian Quadriplegic. It's really quite well done.
Saturday May 19 th ~
Gassed up ($48.01) Ouch! Stopped at the "Riverview Manor" in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin.
Sang before lunch. It was a bit of a surprise, the number of folks weeping at times. Received
some heartfelt thank you's afterwards. The Spirit of God was really moving.
Got a shower at a YMCA, ate lunch & went for a hike at a lakeside park, then further north to a
Wal-Mart for the night.
Sunday May 20 th ~
Drove into Comstock, Wisconsin to the "Community Bible Church CMA" where the pastor (Louis)
had me sing a song and share with the congregation what the Lord has done for our ministry
since I was through here last (two years ago).
Louis & Sandy took me out for lunch, then back to their place for fellowship, dinner and a place to
park for the night. May God Bless Them!

And So Begins Another Week.

May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!

Yours In Christ, Larry
Those Smiles
seem to always be there
for Cindy, Joy and (Leo)
in Elkhorn, Wisconsin.
