Nursing Home Music Ministry
"Lake Crossing Health Center" Leah, Georgia
Dear Brothers And Sisters In Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 14 weeks since beginning this years ministry. So far I've enjoyed the honor
of sharing the gospel in song with 59 Nursing Homes and 10 Churches. To God Be The Glory!
Monday April 2 nd ~
Published the UPDATE and said my goodbye's to the folks here in Quitman, Georgia. They
sent me on my way with a lovely gift for the ministry. May God Bless Them!
Started heading north stopping in Homerville, Georgia to minister at the "Clinch Healthcare"
facility. Enjoyed an extended visit with a Brother before I was due to sing. He's dealing with
some of the rougher side effects of long term diabetes. But still keep'in the faith.
Tuesday April 3 rd ~
Continuing north, I stopped outside of Leah, Georgia and ministered at the "Lake Crossing
Health Center". A spirit-filled staff member hung around after she was scheduled to be off.
Really gett'in into it. Clapp'in to the rhythm, Praising God. It was encouraging to me and the
residents. May God Bless Her!
Stopped for the night in a parking area just off the highway next to the Savannah River. Got
woke up in the middle of the night by a deputy sheriff. He checked me out, then went on his
way. Seems I have to go through this once a year.
Wednesday April 4 th ~
Crossed into South Carolina and sang at the "Savannah Heights Living Center" outside of
McCormick.
Continuing north I parked in a campground early afternoon. Went for a walk and relaxed a bit.
P.S. Over the past few days a sore spot has developed between some toes. The kind I
suspect that diabetics have to be concerned about. I've been doctoring it regular, still I ask
that you pray for me.
Thursday April 5 th ~
Further north I stumbled across the "Master Care Retirement Home" in Liberty, South
Carolina. This is an older mobile home with room additions added here and there. Classified
as a "Residential Care Facility" housing about 10 residents with 2 staff members. We enjoyed
a cozy time of singing hymns in their front living room.
Friday April 6 th ~
Crossed into North Carolina and sang at the "Ivy Hill Health & Retirement Center" in Brevard.
Nice size crowd, very enthusiastic, we had a good ole time.
Saturday April 7 th ~
Woke up to blowing snow. Drove through the Appalachian Mountains into Tennessee. Was
allowed to get a shower at a Methodist church. May God Bless Them! Parked at Wal-Mart
where I got woke up in the middle of the night by locale cops. Guess this year, I had to go
through this more than once.
Sunday April 8 th ~
Attended Easter Services at the same Methodist church, then crossed the border into
Virginia.
And So Begins Another Week.
May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!
Yours In Christ, Larry
