Nursing Home Music Ministry
"The Lords Lighthouse" Climax, Georgia
Dear Brothers And Sisters In Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 12 weeks since beginning this years ministry. So far I've enjoyed the privilege
of sharing the gospel in song with 49 Nursing Homes and 9 Churches. To God Be The Glory!

In Brookhaven, Mississippi I published the newsletter from the library. Then got over to the
"Brook Manor" nursing home where the A.D. treated me to lunch, then I sang for the folks, a
little later in the afternoon.
Hooked up with Owen, the pastor of the Lucien Baptist Church; And went with him to a locale
church hosting an area-wide youth (extreme) thing every Monday night.
Tuesday March 20 th ~
Ministered at the "Country Brook Living Center" here in Brookhaven. Then over to the "Silver
Cross Home" where a couple of lady's slipped a few bucks to me. Sweet! May God Bless Them!
Spent the afternoon at the library changing the contact form on my website. (Been getting a lot
of junk I couldn't filter the way I'd set it up.)
Then over to Owen, Beth and Madeline's for dinner. Grilled Pork Chops, Yams, Turnip Greens,
and Black Eyed Peas. Yum! As we parted, Owen offered up a prayer for me and the ministry.
May God Bless Them!

Drove a little ways to Monticello, Mississippi and ministered at the "Lawrence County Hospital
Senior Living Wing". They remembered me from two years ago, so I enjoyed a sweet reunion
with residents and staff.
Parked just outside of town next to the Pearl River at a free campground with showers.
Thursday March 22 nd ~
Back into town, I ministered at the "Lawrence County Nursing Center" for a sweet group of
folks.
Friday March 23 rd ~
A long walk, shower, and back on the road. Crossed the border into Alabama and out in the
middle of nowhere spotted a sign on the highway, turned around and ministered at the
"Whispering Pines Adult Day Care" facility. This residential care facility is a house converted to
house 6 residents and several staff members. We enjoyed a cozy time of singing praises and
hymns, and at the end one of the gentlemen stood and offered up a prayer. It was a special
time.

Did laundry, then continued across Alabama. Detoured to Brewton to say hi to a Sister (Lisa)
who among other things, distributes food to the poor from her house. We had a nice visit, she
loaded me up with canned goods, then back on the road I made it to the Georgia border.
Mosquitoes were pretty bad so I closed up the van and went to bed early.
Sunday March 25 th ~
Attended morning worship services at "The Lords Lighthouse" church in Climax, Georgia
where I enjoyed the Honor of contributing a couple of songs. Had lunch with, and spent the
afternoon with, Gary (the caretaker living at the church).
During evening services they had me lead a Gospel Singing, and took up a lovely offering for
the ministry. May God Bless Them!
And So Begins Another Week.
May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!
Yours In Christ, Larry
