Nursing Home Music Ministry
"The Summit at Lakeway"
Homochitto National Forest
Dear Brothers And Sisters In Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 11 weeks since beginning this years ministry. So far I've enjoyed the privilege
of sharing the gospel in song with 43 Nursing Homes and 8 Churches. To God Be The Glory!
Monday March 12 th ~
Ministered at "The Summit at Westlake" here in Austin, Texas. Lovely Group!
Then over to Sister Sarah's where I published the UPDATE, visited with a Brother (Sam) doing
some home repair work there. Published his website, and made Business Cards with her
printer.
Then out to Lakeway, Texas for Barbara's Home Group / Pot-Luck Dinner / Worship Service /
Prayer Meeting. Wonderful Night! Great Crowd! I saw a number of burdens lifted, and enjoyed
the opportunity to share a Praise Report about the guitar and sing a song.
Tuesday March 13 th ~
Ministered at "The Summit at Lakeway" in their assisted living area. A sweet group! I was truly
Blessed. Then over to Brother George's for a visit and lunch. After researching on-line, he
had emailed me, sharing just how valuable and generous a gift the guitar really was.
Awesome! Very Humbling!
Wednesday March 14 th ~
Started the day with some home improvement: Using wood strips and self-tapping screws I
attached the van curtains to the plastic molding in strategic places.
Back on the road, I stopped in Lockhart, Texas and ministered at the "Methodist Golden Age
Home". There was a blind man (87 years old), said he lost his eye sight 40 years ago and it
served to open his spiritual eye's and lead him to trust in the Lord. Praise God!
Drove on to Yoakum, Texas for a short visit with mom (she was headed out of town). Then on
to Hallettsville, Texas where I attended church, and dinner afterwards with a bunch of cousins.
Thursday March 15 th ~
Traveling north, I stopped in LaGrange, Texas and ministered at the "Jefferson Place Assisted
Living Center". The A.D. (Donna) made a contribution to the ministry. May God Bless Her!
Further northeast in Franklin, Texas I ministered at the "Franklin Nursing Home". A very large
and poor facility, the folks were enthusiastic, singing along and clapp'in to the beat.

P.S. I've got a tooth that's starting to bother me more than the others. Please pray for me.

Friday March 16 th ~
In Rusk, Texas I ministered at the "Birmingham Health Care Center" during lunch. A sad place.
Saturday March 17 th ~
Drove across Louisiana stopping in Jena at the "LaSalle Nursing Home". A nice group that
made a number of request for favorite songs and sang along with a good many of them.
While having lunch at a park area, a young man wanted to borrow my jumper cables. I told him
he could use them if he would stop using a certain cuss word he was fond of. He apologized
and took the cables over to the trucks they were working on. Later, while gathering my
cables, with the power of the Holy Spirit, I boldly encouraged the 3 men there to repent of
their sins and put their faith in Jesus.
As I left, the oldest shook my hand and solemnly thanked me. To God Be The Glory.
Crossed the border into Mississippi and parked in the Homochitto National Forest where I
was able to get in a long walk on a hiking trail.
Sunday March 18 th ~
Drove into Lucien, Mississippi and attended worship services at the Lucien Baptist Church
where I had the Honor of contributing some songs. The Pastor (Owen), and I enjoyed a time of
fellowship at lunch and before evening services, where I was able to sing another song. This
small church put together a lovely offering for the ministry. May God Bless Them!

And So Begins Another Week.

May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!

Yours In Christ, Larry
