Nursing Home Music Ministry

Dear Brothers And Sisters In Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 5 weeks since beginning this years ministry. So far I've enjoyed the privilege
of sharing the gospel in song with 15 Nursing Homes and 3 Churches. To God Be The Glory!
Monday January 29 th ~
Spent some time in a coffee shop publishing the newsletter on the website. Then got on the
road, eventually ending up in Hondo, Texas where I ministered at the "Community Care
Center". The staff (AD & assistant) stuck around and joined in, which I've learned seems to help
the residents participate more.
Tuesday January 30 th ~
Ministered at the "Hondo Healthcare & Rehab Center". Several precious folks encouraged me
with their sweet participation.
Wednesday January 31 st ~
Sang at the "Amistad Nursing Home" in Uvalde, Texas.
Thursday February 1 st ~
On the road early, stopped in a bump in the road (Langtry, Texas) to look over the Judge Roy
Bean Visitor Center. Then further down the road I came up on a bad accident involving a car &
semi.
Later, in Alpine, Texas I ministered at the "Alpine Valley Care Center". Afterwards as I was going
around shaking hands a gentleman jumped up and gave me a big hug and some beautiful
words of encouragement. May God Bless Him!
Friday February 2 nd ~
Seems nursing homes are few and far between in this part of Texas. I drove a hundred miles to
Van Horn, Texas where I was able to get a shower at the City Christian Shelter. Nice couple
running the place, they also loaded me up with canned goods. May God Bless Them!
Drove another hundred miles into Mountain Time Zone (gaining an hour), which put me in El
Paso, Texas in time to minister at the "El Paso Health & Rehab Center" before their evening
meal time.
Saturday February 3 rd ~
Crossed the border into New Mexico to Las Cruces where I ministered at "The Heritage
Assisted Living" facility.
Took care of some domestic chores at a laundry mat, stopped in the library, then went for a
long walk before settling in at the Wal-Mart for the night.
Sunday February 4 th ~
Attended worship services at the Assembly of God church here in Las Cruces. Then treated
myself to a cheap motel room and watched the Super Bowl.
And So Begins Another Week.
May The Lord Our God
