Nursing Home Music Ministry
Stevens Family Christmas Dinner 2007
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 51 weeks since beginning this years mission. So far we've
enjoyed the privilege of sharing the gospel in song with 202 Nursing Homes
and 33 Churches. To God Be The Glory!
Monday December 17 th ~
Published the update from the "Rivers of Living Water" church. Got in an
exercise walk, then did more vocal recordings for the current CD project.
Tuesday December 18 th ~
In the morning hours, did some recording with my dear brother William on
his Banjo. Then ministered at "The Park at Beckett Meadows".
There were quite a few distractions, with folks going in and out the front
door behind me. On my right the staff were testing the fire alarm system
with this low level beeping the whole time. And, two precious ladies on my
left kept talking while I was singing, then when I stopped they would clap
and exclaim how pretty it was, remain quite till I started another song, then
start talking again. Bless their hearts they did this the whole hour.
Still, they and the rest of the folks seemed to enjoy themselves, so I treated
it as an opportunity to work on remaining focused amidst adversity.
Back to Rivers for the Tuesday night Prayer Meeting.
Wednesday December 19 th ~
A brother from Jubilee (Joe) came by this morning and provided some
recording tracts with his saxophone.
After lunch time, I put a couple of hours of vocal recordings on one song.
Evidently had too many because the program crashed and I lost those two
hours work. Had to do it over again.
Thursday December 20 th ~
Drove to north Austin for the Dream Center's Food Pantry Day. Pulled out
the guitar and sang a few songs with the Director (Myra). Then a dear
brother (David), for our ministry's laptop,
installed a second ram memory chip, and donated a nice carrying case.
May God Bless Him!
Back to Rivers to Remix some songs. The laptop's working noticeably
faster.
Friday December 21 st ~
It's my Birthday!
Saturday December 22 nd ~
Attended the Rivers Bible Study / Fellowship Breakfast. Then drove to
Buda, Texas to my brother Ray's, for a family Christmas get together.
Sunday December 23 rd ~
Attended the early worship service at Jubilee where "The Imperials" were
ministering. Very Inspirational!
Swung by "The Church Under The Bridge". Then over to Rivers in time for
the sermon.
In The afternoon, helped to minister at the "Englewood Estates" retirement
residence.

And So Begins Another Week.

May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!

Yours In Christ, Larry
