Nursing Home Music Ministry
"Church Under The Bridge" Austin, Texas
Dear Brothers And Sisters In Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 46 weeks since beginning this years mission. So far
we've enjoyed the privilege of sharing the gospel in song with 192
Nursing Homes and 33 Churches. To God Be The Glory!
Monday November 12 th ~
Published the newsletter from the Rivers Church.
Designed and printed some copies of an "Invitation to Church" flyer.
Then drove out to Lakeway to show a Sister some things on her
recording program. Then over to Barbara's Home Group Bible Study /
Pot Luck Dinner / Worship Service / Prayer Meeting. Large crowd.
A missionary family, originally from Germany, whom I met last
Christmas, are moving here after spending three seasons in Africa.
They wanted me to know that the CD I gave them last year is being
heard in Kenya. Now that's NEAT!
Tuesday November 13 th ~
Ministered at "The Arbors" in Lakeway. An Alzheimer's facility. As I
walked in, one particular resident growled at me. He was escorted out
and I didn't see him again. Towards the end of my time there a couple
of dear ladies wanted me to take note that one of their own, in a
wheelchair off by herself looking out a window, was singing along.
They seemed encouraged by this.
Back at the Rivers church I was able to record some tracks for
another song before a neighbor dropped by to invite me to dinner
down the street. BBQ Chicken. YUM!
Wednesday November 14 th ~
Sang at the "Monte Siesta" nursing home.
Attended mid-week services at Jubilee Christian Center.
Thursday November 15 th ~
Ministered at the "Austin Nursing Center". A rather large, older facility
in downtown Austin. As I was leaving a dear lady told me "This
brought back memories of singing with my mom and dad".
Friday November 16 th ~
For about three years now I've been sleeping on a mattress composed
of six couch cushions puzzled together to fit the non-standard space
available in the van. This arrangement has had a tendency to
separate, leaving gaps in places.
Today a dear brother in Christ (George) donated a custom made
Futon mattress that fits perfectly. May God Bless Him!
Saturday November 17 th ~
Attended a prayer meeting and breakfast fellowship, then spent the
rest of the day burning CD's with the laptop.
Sunday November 18 th ~
Attended worship services at the "Church Under The Bridge" which
turned out to be a Beautiful time of Praising the Lord with hundreds of
Believers.
Joined a group holding services at the "Englewood Estates" ALF.
Then attended a Disciples class at the Rivers church.

And So Begins Another Week.

May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!

Yours In Christ, Larry
