Nursing Home Music Ministry
Driving down the Highway. Looking for a Church.
Singing Praises to the Lord. On a Sunday Morning Drive.
Sunbeams to the Left of me. Rainbows on the Right.
Dear Brothers And Sisters In Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 40 weeks since beginning this years mission. So far
we've enjoyed the privilege of sharing the gospel in song with 170
Nursing Homes and 27 Churches. To God Be The Glory!

Published the update from the library here in Sidney, Nebraska. Then
ministered over at the "Sloan Estates" ALF. Several folks were
enthusiastic about the message. Some were not.
Spent the afternoon back at the library editing & mixing one of the
songs for the current CD project.
During the night a violent wind storm sent a shopping cart racing
across the Wal-Mart parking lot, crashing into the back of the van.
Praise God, it missed the tail lights and latch mechanism, so every
thing still works.
Tuesday October 2 nd ~
Took advantage of a serene location at Lake Chappell; Reading,
Relaxing, Hiking, Recharging the Batteries.
Wednesday October 3 rd ~
Drove to the "Southerland Care Center". [ This is the facility where
two years ago I walked in for the first time and the AD (Nicki) told me
she had seen me in a dream the previous night!] Bless her heart, for
some time now she has been suffering with severe back problems.
Please pray for her.
I ministered for a lovely group of residents, with staff stopping by
periodically throughout the hour. Nicki and the administrator Blessed
me with sweet gifts for the ministry, both personally and from the
facility. May God Bless Them!

Turned south, stopping in Curtis, Nebraska; a small town of under a
thousand population. Sang at the "Hillside Estates" ALF for six
residents. One wheelchair bound middle-aged gentleman used to sing
in a barber shop quartet. He did some neat harmonies with me.
Across town I ministered at the "Senior Living Choices" ALF for eleven
residents and several staff members during their ice-cream social.
Friday October 5 th ~
In McCook, Nebraska I did some laundry, spent a few hours in the
library working on a song, then sang at the "Hillcrest Nursing Home".
A rather large facility. Had a big audience.
Crossed the border into Kansas to a Rest Area for the night.
Saturday October 6 th ~
Spent some time in the library in Hays, Kansas editing & mixing one of
the songs.
Sunday October 7 th ~
Attended worship services at the Church of the Nazarene in
Hoisington, Kansas. They had a visiting hispanic preacher who was a
very powerful speaker.
Drove a few miles to Great Bend, Kansas where I treated myself to a
chinese buffet lunch. Spent a few hours in the library working on the
laptop. Then ministered at the "Alterra Sterling House" ALF as the
folks were finishing dinner.

And So Begins Another Week.

May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!

Yours In Christ, Larry
