Nursing Home Music Ministry

Dear Brothers And Sisters In Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 43 weeks since beginning this years mission.
So far we've enjoyed the privilege of sharing the gospel in
song with 182 Nursing Homes and 31 Churches. To God Be
The Glory!
Monday October 22 nd ~
Published from the library here in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
Got a shower at a large Church in town. Drove south into the
Ozarks and ministered at the "Newton County Nursing Home"
in Jasper, Arkansas.
A bit further south, settled in at a roadside rest area on this
cold-wet-stormy night.
Tuesday October 23 rd ~
On south through the Ozark's to Danville, Arkansas where I
sang at "The Mitchell Nursing Home" during their monthly
birthday party. Then to Blue Mountain Lake to a free county
campground for the night.
Wednesday October 24 th ~
Ministered at the "Greenwood Retirement Center" in
Greenwood, Arkansas. This facility specializes in Cognitively
challenged patients from young adult through middle aged.
Continued on to Hartford, Arkansas where I attended
mid-week worship services at the "Assembly Of God' church.
Enjoyed the Honor of contributing a song. As a side note, this
town is where the song "I'll Fly Away" was written.
Thursday October 25 th ~
Crossed the border into Texas and sang at the "Gilmer Care
Center". A group of about seven retirement age local
christians were having a gospel sing-along with pretty near
the whole facility present. They had me come up front four
times to sing two songs each set. Everyone seemed to have a
good 'ole time.
Friday October 26 th ~
Drove on into Austin, Texas. Stopped and visited with my
sister (Connie). Then over to my other sister (Janet) where I
got to hold (for the first time) my new great niece (Ashlynn).
Saturday October 27 th ~
Spent the day visiting with friends and family.
Sunday October 28 th ~
Attended morning worship services at "Jubilee Christian
Center" where I enjoyed seeing old friends I haven't seen in a
while.
Did some work on the CD Jacket Cover, then attended evening
worship services at "Christian Life Center" where they had
scheduled a talent show type service, with different folks
singing favorite songs, a beautiful Poem presentation, three
young ladies doing a skit (signing for the deaf) to a worship
song, and a puppet play. Wonderful!
And So Begins Another Week.
May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!
Yours In Christ, Larry
