In Texas, a little ice tends to shut down schools, business's, just about everything.
Nursing Home Music Ministry
Dear Brothers And Sisters In Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 3 weeks since beginning this years ministry. So far I've enjoyed the privilege of
sharing the gospel in song with 4 Nursing Homes and 2 Churches. To God Be The Glory!
Monday January 15 th ~
With a Winter Ice Storm in the area, my departure is being delayed a few days. Praise God I have a
safe harbor to wait out the tempest.
Tuesday January 16 th ~
Roads still treacherous. However, a wonderful opportunity to spend time with my sister and
nephews.
Wednesday January 17 th ~
One more day stuck in the cabin:-)
Thursday January 18 th ~
I was able to get the van inspected today. Somehow it passed emissions testing. Praise God! Now
I'm legal again.
Had dinner with my dear sister Sarah who has done so much for the ministry. May God Bless Her!
Up till midnight Importing the website onto the laptop, installing programs and generally preparing
to leave.
Friday January 19 th ~
Published some from the laptop, then hit the road. Stopped in Smithville, Texas and ministered at
the "Towers Nursing Home". The assistant activity director joined me at one point to sing Blessed
Assurance. Folks seemed to really enjoy that.
Looked up an old friend (Russell) in town and spent a couple hours catchin up.
On down the road I stopped at Don & Sue Ellen's old farm. Dear Spirit filled cousins, we had a
sweet time of fellowship.
Saturday January 20 th ~
Donny & Sue Ellen sent me off with a hearty breakfast and a gift for the ministry. May God Bless
Them!
Headed south on wet, cold and foggy roads. Stopped in Yoakum, Texas and ministered at the
"Yoakum Nursing & Rehab Center". One fella enthusiastically sang along with most all the songs,
as did a few others.
Sunday January 21 st ~
Attended morning worship services at the "Fisherman's Chapel" in Port O'Conner, Texas where I
enjoyed the Honor of contributing a couple of songs.
Spent the afternoon doing a little work on the computer and going for a long walk. I was able to
shower at a beach house belonging to a Brother in Austin.
Attended evening worship services back at the "Fisherman's Chapel" where I again was
privileged to be able to contribute some songs. These folks Blessed me in several ways, May God
Bless Them As Well!

And So Begins Another Week.

May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!

Yours In Christ, Larry
