CD Jacket Cover

Dear Brothers And Sisters In Christ, Happy New Year!
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
This past year I was able to minister a total of 44 weeks. I enjoyed the privilege of sharing the
gospel in song with 189 Nursing Homes and 19 Churches. To God Be The Glory!
Monday December 25 th ~
Spent several hours publishing on the website and sending out the UPDATE. Spent the afternoon
with my sister, niece and nephews for dinner and Christmas Day gift exchange.
Using the software and computer I've been working with, I was able to record a Christmas CD for,
and featuring, the family I've been staying with. As you can imagine, with nine of us in the same
room, we had a fun time doing it.
Tuesday December 26 th ~
I used a good part of the day editing "The Martin Family Christmas Album 2006". By mid-afternoon
I was able to Burn copies for everyone. Turned out pretty nice.
Got in a healthy 5 miles of walking exercise (beautiful sunshiny day). Then in the evening I
watched the TV program about my ministry. I Think it came across OK.
Wednesday December 27 th ~
Did some more editing on a couple of my songs. Then, since the starter went out on the van, I
hopped on a couple of city buses to get to "The Continental" assisted living facility. Being about
an hour early I sat with Lorena going over her family photo album which she put together way
back when she was 85 years old. She's led a very interesting life.
We had a lovely little group for the singing. One of the gentlemen used to sing in a barber shop
quartet. So on the last song (Just a closer walk with thee) I got him to stand by me and sing it with
me. Sounded Good!
Thursday December 28 th ~
Pulled the starter off the van and took a couple of buses to Auto Zone. The Lord opened my eye's
to the fact that it was still under warranty (13 days left). Praise God, that's almost a hundred
dollars I didn't have to spend.
Got back, put the new one on, started right up. Went ahead and did an oil change and replaced a
headlight that was out. It was a good day.
Friday December 29 th ~
Ministered at the "Englewood Estates Retirement Residence" here in Austin. About half way
through I had to struggle a bit. Seems I'd let my blood sugar get a little high (my own fault, chips &
cheese dip). Still the Good Lord helped me past it. I don't think the residents could tell, and
afterwards they were very appreciative & encouraging. They lifted me up. May God Bless Them!
Saturday December 30 th ~
Worked on the CD. Down to one song left to tweak. Using Sarah's Idea for the jacket cover, I got
together with my nephew Mathew who has the equipment and know-how to photograph and
produce the CD case insert. He did a great job, I like it.
Sunday December 31 st ~
Attended worship services at the "Southside Church". Afterwards a group of us (24) went to "Salt
Lick" a BBQ place. With such a large bunch, we had to wait over an hour to be seated. But the
food was good.
Oh by the way, I exported into a wav file the last song for the CD, and burned a couple of copy's.
Still have to finish the jacket cover, decide on the order of the songs, and build a web page for
the CD with short samples of each song. It's amazing what all is involved in the process.
Drove out to Donna & Gary's for their New Years Eve party. Lots of Christian Fellowship, some
fireworks, and some standing around the bonfire. This is a nice setting on a 900 acre place out in
the hill country. I parked there for the night. Gary even encouraged me to plug in my electric
heater. May God Bless Him!
And So, by the Grace of God, I have now been able to minister in 417 Nursing Homes and 52
Churches since beginning this ministry 2 years and 5 months ago. Also, this past year I was given
the opportunity to Develop the Website and produce a second CD for the ministry. Praise God!
And So Begins Another Year.
May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!
Yours In Christ, Larry
