Nursing Home Music Ministry
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
Your prayers for my sister helped. She now has a job. Thank You!
We got a few things done around the Dream Center this week.
Saturday, a group of fourteen college age Christians from a locale
church, came out to do some volunteer work. We spent a couple of
three hours preparing the soil in an area for plantings. With a
beautiful day of sunshine and mild temperatures, we had a wonderful
time of fellowship.
Folks here at the Dream Center are in the process of putting
together a Web Page for the Nursing Home Music Ministry. PRAISE
GOD!!!  Stay tuned for further developments.
Sunday after services at Jubilee, twelve of the Adult Singles Group
got together at Sarah's house, for a Super Bowl Party. There were all
kind's of goodies to eat. Lot's of conversations, good natured joking,
we even watched some of the game. Once again, a lovely time of
good ole Christian Fellowship.

So, until next week,
may the Lord guard,
guide and direct you.
In the name of Jesus. Amen!

Yours in Christ, Larry
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
We got a few more things done around the Dream Center this week.
Some lights got wired up, and a water heater installation was
completed.
Thursday, I enjoyed the Honor of singing at a fund-raising benefit for
the Center, at a Chick-fil-A restaurant. It was a new and beautiful
Faith Building experience; singing Gospel music in a crowded cafe'.
Saturday we had another group of eleven college age Christians
from a locale Church come do volunteer work. We split into 4 crews:
one preparing an area for garden plantings, another sorting and
labeling shoes for the homeless, still another crew folding and
bagging clothes. And finally, a couple of strong guy's moving heavy
stuff around in the basement, making room to set up some clothes
dryers.
Then we had our regular Saturday night BBQ. Yum! A very
productive day.
Sunday, I enjoyed singing in the Choir during both morning services
at Jubilee. Also got to join 3 of the members of the praise team,
singing for the Children's Church in between the 2 services. That
was fun.
Topped off the week, Sunday night at the monthly Home Group Bible
Study at Sarah's.
A PRAISE REPORT!!!  The Dream Center has given me a web page
on their web site. May God Bless Them!
It can be seen at: http://www.dreamcenteraustin.org

So, until next week:
Whatever your hands find to do; do with all your might.

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
This week I did a couple of small home improvement jobs for a couple of friends.
And, we accomplished a few things around the Center as well. Kim (the Assistant
to the Director), donated a ping pong table (a nice one), along with other games
and such. May God Bless Her!
The folks around here have been having a lot of fun with these things. Its
especially helpful for the one's trying to stay on the path to Recovery from drug
and alcohol abuse.
Thursday is the day over one hundred families are provided groceries out of the
Have A Heart Food Pantry. As things were winding down, I pulled out the guitar and
sang a few songs. Seemed appropriate.
Saturday, Sarah helped me come up with, and produce new Business Cards for the
ministry. May God Bless Her!
Sunday, I drove to the Yoakum, Texas area. About a hundred miles from Austin.
Attended Worship Services with a bunch of Cousins. Then over to the White House
to celebrate my Dad's Birthday.
The White House is an old home on some property adjoining the Stevens Nursing
Home. Which my Aunt Effie purchased many years ago, for Reunions and such.
Praise Report!!!  You'll remember last week I told you how The Dream Center
Austin gave me a Web Page on their Web Site.
http://www.dreamcenteraustin.org
Well, this week, going the extra mile, they've also given me my own Web Site!!!

So, till next week,
may the Lord our God guard,
guide and direct you,

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
Here at the Center, we put together some book shelves getting the Christian
Library up and running. Added some outlets in one of the rooms. And had an
important inspection of the facility, which went well.
Tuesday I attended a wonderful Men's Fellowship Dinner at Jubilee. The talk was
about being a man of integrity. Good Lesson!
Wednesday I played at the Capitol City Health & Rehabilitation Center here in
Austin. Sharon, who leads a bi-weekly Bible Study, had asked me to join in. I sang
for about a half hour before, and another 10 minutes after, the lesson.
Afterwards, while going around thanking folks for listening, one particular
resident (Nelson) said "You look familar." I replied "You look familar too." Then I
went on to say "You know, I grew up around here. Went to High School just down
the street at Lanier." He said "So did I. Graduated in 74." I said "So did I."   We had
a large graduating class; over 400. And my last 2 years I was in a work program.
Therefore I was only in school a couple of hours in the morning. So our paths
didn't cross much. Still, as you can imagine, it was quite a jolt running into him in a
nursing home. But Praise God, he was in a Bible class, and singing along with
those ole' Gospel Hymn's.
Out in the parking lot, Sharon and I had a lovely spiritual discussion, made plans to
do this again before I head out, and, she made a donation to the ministry. May God
Bless Her! (M.G.B.H!)
Friday, Kim (the directors assistant here at the center), presented me with a Brand
New 7 " Portable DVD Player. Something I've been longing for. M.G.B.H!
And finally George, a dear friend from Jubilee, contributed a Digital Camera to the
ministry, complete with the cable needed for attaching to computers. M.G.B.H!
Now Lord willing, I'll be able to start including pictures with these newsletters.

So, till next week,
May the Lord our God,
Guard, Guide and Direct You,
In the Name of Jesus. Amen!

Yours In Christ, Larry

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Greetings.

I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
Although I am still in Austin; This years Mission has begun. So far, I've had the
Privilege of Sharing the Gospel in Song with 3 Nursing Homes. To God be the
Glory!
Monday Febuary 27 th ~
After using the computer at the Dream Center to send off the weekly update, I
spent some time installing a new dishwasher for a very dear friend. Unfortunately,
while testing it through a cycle, I discovered a factory defect which allowed water
to leak out the door. Going to have to do it again.
Tuesday Febuary 28 th ~
Ministered at "The Park at Beckett Meadows" here in Austin. A very distinguished
gentleman, the father of one of Jubilee's members, lives there. I've played at this
facility before and always receive a warm welcome.
Finished out the day removing, exchanging, and re-installing another dishwasher.
This one had been put together right, so, Job Done!
Wednesday March 1 st ~
Hung some pictures around the Dream Center. Visited with my good buddy
George. Got together with my nephew working on the CD jacket covers. Attended
Jubilee, then had dinner with a friend (who needs to know the Lord), as we all do.
Please pray for him.
Thursday March 2 nd ~
Spent the day at the Center during Food Pantry Day. The day we give out food,
clothes, and prayer to well over a hundred families. At one point, about 7 of us
gathered outside the Healing Prayer Room and began singing Praises. I found out
later, a powerful deliverance was going on. Awesome!
Friday March 3 rd ~
Picked up a prescription for antibiotics from my dentist, then sang at the "Gracy
Woods Campus of Care" here in Austin. A beautiful facility and a lovely group of
residents who sang along with a number of the songs. It went very well. The
Activity Director was able to make a contribution to the ministry. May God Bless
Her!
Saturday March 4 th ~
Another new experience. An Elder of Jubilee (Kevin & Jane), Hosted a Fundraiser
Dinner for the ministry, at their house. We enjoyed a delicious Bar-B-Q feast out on
the Patio. And had a wonderful time of Christian Fellowship.
I had been asked to make a presentation about the ministry. Which meant I had to
Speak. Somehow, by the Grace of God, I got through it. And Praise God, these
generous folks Blessed me with a Love offering to such an extent, that all I can say
is; Thank You Jesus!  And May God Bless Them!
Sunday March 5 th ~
Attended Jubilee Christian Center and sang in the Choir for both morning services.
Later, in the afternoon, "The Dream Center Austin" Hosted a Fundraising Event for
the ministry. Myra (The Director) had some very kind things to say.
I was asked to sing some songs and tell a few stories from my experiences in the
nursing homes. The acoustics were great and the folks were warm and receptive.
Another First, Dora (the lady in charge of the Clothes Distribution here at the
Center), presented me with a Bouquet of Flowers. Beautiful!!! They even matched
my shirt.
And once again, the folks Blessed me with a love offering so much, that I have to
say again; Thank you Jesus! And May God Bless Them!

And So Begins Another Week.

May The Lord Our God,
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!

Yours in Christ, Larry
