Monte Siesta Nursing Facility
Dear Brothers And Sisters In Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 42 weeks since beginning this years mission. So far I've enjoyed the privilege of
sharing the gospel in song with 185 Nursing Homes and 19 Churches. To God Be The Glory!

Spent a few hours publishing the newsletter on the website, then over to "The Park at Beckett
Meadows". As I was singing the last few songs something interesting happened. A small puppy dog
belonging to one of the residents began to dance. We all got tickled because her movements were
so unusual & unique. I made the comment that the Holy Spirit does strange things sometimes.
After visiting for a bit I went over to the Alzheimer's unit and played some more. Should of thought
to take the puppy along.
Rested a little, then drove out to Lakeway for Barbara's Home Group/Pot-Luck Dinner/Worship
Service/Prayer Meeting where I had the pleasure of contributing a few songs.

Another first experience! This morning we did the taping for the Christian Talk Show (Promise
Unlimited). Seemed to go OK. I think I started off like a deer caught in headlights. However, I didn't
get run over, so, all's well that ends well, right?
Spent the rest of the day recording, editing & mixing another song (In The Sweet By And By) for the
CD.
Wednesday December 13 th ~
Ministered at the "Monte Siesta Nursing Facility" where there was a reverent group in attendance.
Since this was their regular Church Service/Devotional time slot, I preached in-between a few
more songs than usual. Still, I was able to give them sixteen songs.
Spent a good part of the rest of the day recording another song (In The Garden). Then attended
mid-week worship services at "Cathedral of Praise".

A Hallmark Day in several ways. I started page 300 of my daily Journal. Who would of thought that
this guy who failed a semester of English in high school would write 300 pages of anything. Or
even want to. But I'm here to tell you, when your doing things for the Lord, ALL things are possible.
Recorded, edited & mixed the foundation for another song (Blessed Be The Name/Just A Little Talk
With Jesus). There are now enough for a CD. I need to go back and add some harmonies in a few of
them and do a little tweaking here and there, come up with a jacket cover, etc. Lord Willing, I'll
have it all ready by the time I head out January sixteenth.

Ministered at the "Austin Nursing Center". This is an older, more poor facility in downtown Austin.
There is a quite depression evident in this place. I sang in three different Dinning Rooms for folks
with varied levels of incapacitation. I pray I helped in some small way.
On a more upbeat note, I received an email today from Jeanne, the co-host of the Christian Talk
Show. They have decided not to wait till February to air the show. They've scheduled it for
December 26 th at 7:30 pm on Austin Public Access TV cable channel #11 and in addition, they have
placed a FLOAT designation on the episode which allows the program director to broadcast the
show at unscheduled times. Praise God!
Saturday December 16 th ~
Today I did some more recording & editing on one of the songs (Just A Closer Walk With Thee).
And was also able to get in some good exercise walking. About 8 miles!
Sunday December 17 th ~
Attended Worship Services at Jubilee Christian Center. This was the day for the Christmas Drama
(Putting Jesus Back In Christmas). It continues to amaze me how amateur productions with plain
ole folks can be so interesting.
Along about 5 pm I joined the Praise & Worship Team at the "West Oaks Rehab & Healthcare
Center" for an hour of Christmas Carols and ministering. From there we all went over to Jimmy &
Jaquita's for a Christmas party. One of the highlights was when the girls "Made Over" Dan & Rudy
into Santa Clause using stick glue and cotton balls. Lots of fun, good food, good fellowship!

And So Begins Another Week

May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!

Yours In Christ, Larry
