Nursing Home Music Ministry

I Hope & Pray You Had a Nice Week.
I was able to accomplish a few things. I attended a 3 day Revival with
Joyce Stills Ministering. Very Uplifting.
Pulled the starter off the van. And cleaned it up best I could. Put it
back on, but it didn't help. Still having to hit it with a hammer pretty
often.
At the Dentist, I got one major Filling & the first tooth pulled. Not
really pleasant; But needed to be done.
The Home my Dad is in, had their Christmas Party for the Residents
& Family. I was able to go down to Yoakum (about 90 miles from
Austin) and share that time with my Parents.
This week is looking interesting: Yesterday we had our first
Rehearsal for the Christmas Drama. Which we're presenting this
coming Sunday. So Rehearsals are scheduled for almost every
evening.
Plus, I have a small residential electrical repair job to do for a friend.
And, I may have the opportunity to record a CD for the Nursing
Home Music Ministry this week. Please Pray About This.
Till Next Week.
May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide & Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen
Yours In Christ, Larry
Dear Brothers & Sisters,
I Hope & Pray you had a wonderful week.
beginning to learn what's involved in Producing good, professional quality
recordings. It's hours & hours of laying down Base Tracks with good timing (not
speeding up, slowing down, etc.). Then hours & hours of separate vocal tracks.
Hours & hours of separate guitar tracks. Hours & hours of cutting & pasting,
picking & choosing, stacking & mixing. Well you get the picture; hundreds &
hundreds of hours.
We did the Christmas Drama yesterday. Had a good alter call. A number of folks
gave their hearts to Jesus. The Play was a variation on the Birth of Jesus Story. It
had Joseph & Mary, Sheperds & Wisemen & Angels. A young man working
thousands of miles from home. A young girl panhandling on the street to excape
abuse at home. And me, an old man in a wheel chair in a nursing home. All three
spending their first Christmas Alone, away from family.
The Play taught that Christmas is more than a story about a baby being born. But
also of the King who gave his life for all of us. With all the Characters gathered
around the manger scene, the last line, delivered by an angel is: Welcome Home
Children, This Is Your First Christmas.
We had a couple of hundred in the audience. And although we had a few curves
thrown at us; like some of the house light dimmer switches went out, & Mary lost
her voice and had to wear a remote mike so she could be heard. Still it went very
well.
And So Till Next Week,
May God Bless You.
Yours In Christ, Larry
Dear Brothers & Sisters,
I Hope & Pray you had a wonderful week.
I was able to finish up that home repair job for a friend. Worked a little on the CD.
Visited with my parents some. Renewed my Drivers License, which was due to
expire this week. And attended our Christian Singles Christmas Party. A nice time
of Fellowship.
I want to wish you a Merry Christmas.
And I Pray you have a Lovely time this week.
Yours In Christ, Larry
Dear Brothers & Sisters,
This week was rather eventful for me. I enjoyed the privilege of House-sitting for a
few days for a friend. Kind of nice to spread out a little, for a change.
Had the Honor of attending a Christmas Dinner at the Nursing Home of one of our
Church member's parents.
On Wednesday, I celebrated my 50 th Birthday!
Gathered Christmas Day at my little brothers house, with Mom & Dad, Brothers &
Sisters, and lots of nieces & nephews.
Typical Texas Christmas Weather. Sunshiny & 75 Degrees.
I wish you all a Happy New Year.
And May God Richly Bless You.
Yours In Christ, Larry
