Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 7 week since beginning this years mission. So far we've
enjoyed the privilege of sharing the gospel in song with 24 Nursing Homes
and 3 Churches. To God Be The Glory!
Monday February 16 th ~
Published the update from the library here in Yoakum, Texas. And spent
some time sitting with mom.
Tuesday February 17 th ~
Drove to Gonzales, Texas and ministered at the "Texan Nursing & Rehab
Center". One dear lady was obviously spiritually minded. At one point she
asked if I was staying for lunch, and said "You can have mine".
I started a round of antibiotics today, please pray for me.
Wednesday February 18 th ~
Spent time sitting with mom and working on the computer.
Thursday February 19 th ~
Joined some cousins singing at the "Stevens Health & Rehab Center" here in
Yoakum.
Friday February 20 th ~
Mom passed away today.
Saturday February 21 st ~
A Day of Rest.
Sunday February 22 nd ~
Attended worship services in Hallettsville with a bunch of cousins. Then in
the afternoon, joined a group at the nursing home for some singing out of
Hymnals.
In the evening we held moms Visitation. A tradition in this part of the country
where by folks gather (usually the day before the funeral) to visit and
reminisce.
I was encouraged and comforted by the large turnout.
And So Begins Another Week.
