I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 7 weeks since beginning this years mission. So far we've enjoyed the
privilege of sharing the gospel in song with 26 Nursing Homes and 4 Churches. To God
Be The Glory!
Monday February 15 th ~
Libraries are closed this Presidents Day holiday. Finally found access to the internet at
a Burger King where I was able to publish the update.
Crossed the border into Mississippi and ministered at the "Adams County Nursing
Center" in Natchez. The activity director wanted me to take over a weekly service already
scheduled. The leader (Bill) very graciously turned it over to me and started to leave. I
encouraged him to stay and help.
He agreed. Opened with a prayer, read some scripture part way through and closed with
a prayer. He also helped involve this large flock to sing along, with lots of Amen's,
Halleluiah's and hand clapping. We enjoyed an awesome time of worship.
Tuesday February 16 th ~
Sang at the "Glenburney Healthcare Center" here in Natchez, Mississippi.
Wednesday February 17 th ~
In Brookhaven, Mississippi I was able to minister at the "Countrybrook Living Center".
Then on down the road I stopped at a very large church (Salem Heights Baptist) where
folks gave me a place to park and plug in the heater. They shared their fellowship dinner,
then invited me to sing a song during the adult service. May God Bless Them!
Thursday February 18 th ~
Here in Laurel, Mississippi I was able to minister at the "Comfort Care Living Center".
The staff assembled a large group of residents. With lot's of participation, we had a good
ole' time.
Got back out to the church where I was able to get some work done on the laptop.
Friday February 19 th ~
Got a shower at the church.
Spent the morning editing this week's song.
Then out to the "Laurelwood Community Living Center" where I had arranged to
minister.
Saturday February 20 th ~
Day of Rest.
Sunday February 21 st ~
Attended worship services here at Salem Heights. One of the couples (Carlson & Patsy)
took me out to lunch. Mexican food. Yum!
Spent the day visiting with Carlson, then attended evening services back at Salem
Heights.
And So Begins Another Week.
May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
