Nursing Home Music Ministry
"Hallettsville Rehab & Healthcare Center"
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 4 week since beginning this years mission. So far we've enjoyed
the privilege of sharing the gospel in song with 16 Nursing Homes and 3
Churches. To God Be The Glory!
Monday January 26 th ~
Published the update from the library here in Yoakum, Texas. Then spent the
afternoon visiting with my mom's sister and brother in law, Sandra and James.
Tuesday January 27 th ~
Sang at the "Hallettsville Rehab & Healthcare Center" with cousin's Ricci and
Elvis.
Wednesday January 28 th ~
We moved mom over to the nursing home this morning. It all went relatively
smooth. I was previously scheduled to sing in this home, this afternoon, so I
ministered here at the "Stevens Healthcare & Rehab Center". First in the activity
room, then over in the Alzheimer's unit.
You may have noticed the name of the facility. It was originally built by one of my
uncles. And although it has since been sold to a corporation, my kinfolk are still
in administration and on staff. There are currently four Stevens in residence. An
aunt, two cousins, and now my mom. Needless to say it is comforting having her
in a place with so much family around.
Thursday January 29 th ~
Drove to Austin to spend some time with other Brothers & Sisters in Christ.
Friday January 30 th ~
Shared a how-to session on using the recording program with a Brother, then to
a Sisters to House-Sit.
Saturday January 31 st ~
A Day of Rest.
Sunday February 1 st ~
Attended the early worship service at "Jubilee Christian Center". Then went
downtown to the "Church Under The Bridge". This is a worship service held each
sunday in a parking lot underneath an interstate overpass. Rain or Shine, Hot or
Cold. Led by an awesome Brother in Christ ministering for the Homeless in
Austin. May God Bless Him!
And So Begins Another Week.
May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!
Yours In Christ, Larry
