Praying Before The Meal At Wesley's 80 th Celebration
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 4 weeks since beginning this years mission. So far we've enjoyed the
privilege of sharing the gospel in song with 13 Nursing Homes and 3 Churches. To God
Be The Glory!

Monday January 25 th ~
Published the update, then spent the day editing.
Drove out to Lakeway in the evening for Barb's Home Group/Prayer Meeting/Pot Luck
Dinner/Worship Service.

Tuesday January 26 th ~
Finished editing this week's song. Then loaded and organized the van in preparation for
leaving.

Wednesday January 27 th ~
 What a Day!
 Met Brother William for breakfast.
Got the State Inspection done on the van. It Passed!
 Renewed the van license tags.
Enjoyed a Sweet visit with a Dear Sister (Myra).
Ended the day having dinner out (catfish) with David & Mary. Yum!

Thursday January 28 th ~
Drove southeast to Lockhart, Texas and sang at the "Methodist Golden Age Home". Had
to stop singing at one point and walk over to a group of about 7 staff members who were
talking loud enough to drown me out.
Gently pointed out that they were distracting the residents. They'd simply lost track of
where they were. They quickly apologized and quieted down.

Friday January 29 th ~
In Gonzales, Texas I was able to minister at the "Hill Country Rehab & Healthcare
Center" for a rather large group or residents. Part way through a retired preacher of the
gospel of african american heritage wanted to sing a song. Then similarly, a lady wanted
to, as well. Bless their hearts, it was obvious that they had been accomplished singing in
their day.
This was one of the more animated groups I've sang with. We had a good ole' time.

Saturday January 30 th ~
Spent a good part of the day visiting with my dear cousin Ricci in Yoakum, Texas. Then
joined him and others at the "Sublime Baptist Church" for a Pot Luck Dinner/ Singing
where I enjoyed the Honor of contributing a couple of songs.

Sunday January 31 st ~
Attended worship services at the old country church "Fordtran Church of Christ". Then
over to uncle Wesley's where about a hundred kinfolk gathered for a Pot Luck Dinner
celebrating Wesley's 80 th Birthday.
Then in the evening, some of us went to the Baptist church in Yoakum where the Bailey
Family was ministering. This couple who had eight children, all of whom sing and play
instruments, including mom & dad, are now down to the youngest three 18, 17 & 15. The
older kids having gone on to college, military, marriage. But Still, a very talented group.

And So Begins Another Week.

May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!

Yours In Christ, Larry

A Veritable Feast
