Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 40 weeks since beginning this years mission. So far we've enjoyed the
privilege of sharing the gospel in song with 146 Nursing Homes and 29 Churches. To God Be
The Glory!
Monday October 5 th ~
Published from the nursing home here in Alma, Nebraska. Then ministered at the "Hillcrest"
assisted living facility.
Tuesday October 6 th ~
Assembled some CD's with cases & Jacket Covers. Then later, I attended an annual
Jamboree at a locale church I'd been invited to. Enjoyed the opportunity to contribute some
songs.
Wednesday October 7 th ~
Said my goodbye's to Markus. What hospitality, opening up his home like this. May God
Bless Him!
Crossed the border into Kansas to a town named Smith Center. Sang at the "Smith County
Care Center" during lunch. Bless his heart, a resident became sick at one point. I got a
nurse's attention and they had to perform the Heimlich Maneuver for him. He survived the
ordeal.
Thursday October 8 th ~
Continuing south, I stopped in Osborne, Kansas and sang at the "Parkview" facility. First in
the Alzheimer's section, then over in the assisted living wing. After which I got invited to
share their noon meal.
Drove on to Great Bend, Kansas and hooked up with a couple (Mark & Laura) I met years
ago who have a small homeless shelter in an older little house next to their property.
Prodigal Son Ministries.
Friday October 9 th ~
Ministered at the "Great Bend Health & Rehab Center" in the Alzheimer's Unit. Awesome
time. These folks were really getting into the Gospel message.
Joined Mark & Laura this evening at a coffee shop where a contemporary christian group
was singing.
Saturday October 10 th ~
A cold, freezing, drizzly day.
Sang at the "Sterling House" assisted living facility here in Great Bend. Then back to the
Prodigal Son house for some reading and a movie.
Sunday October 11 th ~
Attended worship services at the "Extreme Hope" church. Then followed Mark & Laura
to the Assembly of God church for a chili lunch & gospel music concert.
I was sitting in the Foyer visiting with a Brother (John). At one point he asked if I'd ever
been married/kids. As soon as I said no, this cute little toddler I'd never seen, came right up
to me wanting a hug. Made me feel so special. The Lord works in mysterious ways.
And So Begins Another Week.
May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!
Yours In Christ, Larry
