Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has been a wonderful year. Thanks to your support and our Lord's help and
guidance we enjoyed the privilege of sharing the gospel in song with 201 Nursing
Homes and 46 Churches in 2008. To date, (since beginning this ministry on August
17, 2004), we have enjoyed the Honor of ministering in 821 Nursing Homes and 131
Churches.
To God Be The Glory!
Monday December 29 th ~
Joined Les and some of the guy's for a few games of horseshoes here at the
"Cherokee Village" retirement mobile park in Apache Junction, Arizona. Then
published the update from their club house. Arranged to sing tomorrow in a
nursing home. And back at the park, got in a nice friendly (lots of folks saying hi)
walk around the neighborhood. Finished the day enjoying some TV & Dinner with
my Host.
Tuesday December 30 th ~
A few games of horseshoes.
A couple hours of laundry.
An hour of email.
Then ministered at the "Apache Junction Health Center" for a lovely group of folks.
Joined my host and some of their kinfolk for dinner out.
Wednesday December 31 st ~
Horseshoes. Shower. Laptop. Lunch. Walk. Dinner. Movie. To Bed.
And So Begins Another Year!
Thursday January 1 st ~
One more round of horseshoes. Then had breakfast with, and said my goodbyes to
Les & Judy. A sweet couple, who have fed and housed me at this Oasis in the
desert. May God Bless Them!
Being a holiday, there wasn't too much traffic. So I drove west straight across
Phoenix, then south to the "Buckeye Hills Recreation Area" for the night.
Friday January 2 nd ~
Enjoyed the first half of the day hanging out in the desert. Then drove to Yuma,
Arizona to a Walmart. Another first. Got woke up in the night by Walmart security
and asked to move off the property around the corner.
Saturday January 3 rd ~
Crossed the border into California and stumbled onto a Hot Spring pool where I
was able to soak for a bit. and wash the hair. Then on to Imperial, California to a
church pastor'd by friends of friends.
Received an email from a gentleman in Michigan seeking advise about ministering
in nursing homes. I assume this Brother found the website doing an internet
search. This has happened a number of times over the past few years. It's
awesome how the Lord uses even the website to bare fruit.
Sunday January 4 th ~
Attended all three worship services at "Faith Assembly" here in Imperial, California.
During the evening service the pastor (Dan) called me to the front and told the
flock about our ministry. Prayed for me and encouraged the folks to offer what he
called a "Pentecostal Handshake". Which they did to the tune of over two hundred.
May God Bless Them!
And So Begins Another Week.
May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!
Yours In Christ, Larry
